felix.fdez 0 Posted July 15, 2010 Can I use the First Aid skill on myself during combat? In "Rest&Recovery" section (p.64) it is said you add a challenge dice. But in the "First Aid&Inmediate Care" section nothing is said about that.
pumpkin 0 Posted July 16, 2010 personally, I would say yes, as long as you add in the extra challenge die, plus perhaps some misfortune dice or more challenge dice if you are engaged with an enemy! I don't have cards with me, but check out the requirements of splints and bandages, as this is a first aid type action for use in combat, if that doesn't restrict use on onesself you can be sure first aid the skill won't be; even if the action card is, i'd still be inclined to let people use first aid on themselves. mac40k 1 Posted July 16, 2010 Even though it appears in the Rest & Recovery section, I would say the line about applying First Aid to oneself being more difficult applies to all applications of the skill First Aid. It wasn't necessary to repeat that in the Immediate Use section since it would have been redundant.
felix.fdez 0 Posted July 16, 2010 Splint&Bandages says "engaged with target"... I am engaged with myself?

I guess you're engaged with yourself at all times (except when you're head's not attached to your body anymore? lol).
dvang 10 Posted July 20, 2010 Engaged is a measure of distance. According to the rules, it's a distance close enough to whisper and be heard, and to hit someone with a melee weapon. So, yes, you're typically within that distance of yourself.
