oreet 396 Posted September 24 So I'm painting Cassian tonight, and I had a question for the group. This is more a Star Wars Lore question than a game question. What the heck is that weird donut-looking thing on his backpack???
arnoldrew 1,713 Posted September 24 Star Wars backpacks are made of random trash and they rarely, if ever, explain what the trash is or does. Look at the Sandtrooper backpacks from ANH. 2 oreet and Polda reacted to this
DFocke 262 Posted September 24 His lunch box?
Xclbr1 25 Posted September 24 I think that in the Rogue One book it's explained to be some kind of charge pack for his blaster, but i'm not 100% sure about that. Like arnoldrew said above though Star Wars has lots of unexplained gizmos, so you can headcannon basically anything 🤷♂️
syrath 1,316 Posted September 25 Ive seen some of these things being called coolers , but given his jacket, it seems unlikely.any way here is the source https://starwars.fandom.com/wiki/Coolth_backpack
Sekac 3,506 Posted September 25 Similar question: Why does the Mos Eisley Cantina pour booze out of a bunch of severed IG-88 heads? Do they hate droids that much?!
Sharkbelly 742 Posted September 25 It is a Bundt pan. Cassian loves bundt cakes. 1 1 2 Sekac, oreet, Herowannabe and 1 other reacted to this

Oddly enough, when Mando goes there, there's a droid bartender, but the IG heads are still there too.

irdonny 121 Posted September 28 I thought the backpack looked bad, so I filled the hole in his back with some wall spackle (clay would have worked well too), primed and painted over. You would have to know it was missing to notice, and even then it's barely visible. Overall I think the miniature looks much better without it.
Captain Pachu 33 Posted September 28 I just thought it was a hemorrhoid donut pillow for space hemorrhoids. I didn't want to say anything to the mini as I assembled him because I was afraid that he'd be embarrassed and always roll blanks. 1 oreet reacted to this

Jedha didn't strike me as an especially cold looking planet so I have to assume Cassian's heavy jacket is a matter of preference, not utility. 1 oreet reacted to this
