Saltire 4 Posted September 10 Ok I accept I might be missing the obvious but what are the 8 clear plastic 'buttons' for that come on the stand sprue? Looks to me that you can glue the Stap directly to the flight stand so why the buttons?
oreet 396 Posted September 10 If it's the same buttons as the ARC troopers, it creates a small ball and socket type of joint, allowing greater surface area contact for the ball shape at the end of the flight stand, while maximizing the angles it could be mounted at. 1 Caimheul1313 reacted to this
Saltire 4 Posted September 10 Yeh that's kinda what I thought. Not really needed with the Staps but didn't consider that the same sprue would be used for other kits. thanks for the response 2 oreet and Caimheul1313 reacted to this

RejjeN 195 Posted September 11 Speaking of STAPs, how do people intend to assemble theirs on the flight stands? They seem awfully high up with the taller stand, but it could be nice for better line of sight..? What are the odds of taking cover with the second guy in the squad ala Tauntauns? I'd expect a standard silhouette for every base size.

I highly doubt that. also: how would you even apply the silhouette on a mini that sticks out so far over the edge? Still I also questioned myself how to pose them. I will be taking the same hight for both models per unit though. I wanna avoid a situation where one has los and the other doesn't just because of model hight. It'll probably be one unit on high position and 2 units in low position. maybe the other way around. I mean I could even think about a situation where I have 2 units in the list and I decide on unit placement whether I want to have the tall or the small ones. Kinda feels bad ...
