Wild Fringer + Bistan + PerCo

Someone did well at a large-ish tournament with a Fringer and Bistan some months ago.  Given that the combination is quite a bit cheaper now, I thought it might be worth exploring again.  Two four-dice attacks is neat, but you're going to want mods to get the most out of them.  Perceptive Copilot seems the obvious choice to help with that.  I've included Airen for extra actions and also swarm-tactics might be neat to try and init kill something.  I'm not sure whether Wedge with protons is the right call.  Airen in the list probably helps Wedge be a bit more acey, but he's still going to have a huge target on his back.  That might be ok.  Airen becomes the obvious target otherwise.  I don't think I really have an end-game piece though.  Maybe Luke would be a better call?

For a variant of yours, I started with the fringer, and tweaked it to resemble my Kallus/Dutch/(Garvin or Porkins)/Jake build.

How about:

Wild Space Fringer - YT-2400 Light Freighter 72
Ship Total: 72
Half Points: 36 Threshold: 5

"Dutch" Vander - BTL-A4 Y-Wing 40
Dorsal Turret 2
Ship Total: 42
Half Points: 21 Threshold: 4

Jek Porkins - T-65 X-Wing 45
Servomotor S-Foils 0
Ship Total: 45
Half Points: 23 Threshold: 3

Jake Farrell - RZ-1 A-Wing 36
Ship Total: 36
Half Points: 16 Threshold: 2

You still have 5 points left to add to taste.

Or swap out Porkins for the original Garvin, and have 3 points left?

Thanks - I'm keen on trying to use Bistan.  Two four-dice shots just seems too tempting to pass up.  The key then is how to make those work.  I like the thought of Airen as an engagement phase action for the Fringer could be clutch (TL or maybe even a barrel roll to get range).  Open to ideas, but want to stick with the Fringer + Bistan as a minimum.

Ah, gotcha... There are still some interesting things you can do with the fringer just using Bistan. 

There's 118 points left for other "stuff." :D

Tried goofing around with this on Fly Casual.  Except I went with APTs & R3 on Wedge and Mag Pulse on Airen.  I need to play around with it some more before I can say whether it's 'good' or not, but it certainly can hit hard :)

Kanan activates and coordinates fringer a lock. Kanan can passive sensors for lock and have force for fulls mods. Two 4 dice full mod attacks, plus another 4 dice attack on another ship. Kanan goes down? Pop AP-5 to keep those coordinates happening. Fringer gets attacked? Kanan can use ability to keep it alive longer, hopefully for another two die attack.

Thanks - I'll give it a try.  I've pretty much given up on my version!  If I'm only 50/50 on Fly Casual I'm not putting it on a table against people :) (well, the people in my play group anyhow ...)
