Idea is the Bs charge in for a knife fight, with a chance at double tapping plus their stress mods, while the Xs fan out left/right for flanking (or just closing gaps in the kill box) opportunities with their speedier dials. Beyond the stress/double tap stuff on the Bs there aren't any real shenanigans going on here, ran out of points pretty quickly. Rebel beef and potatoes? Rebel is the third (and probably final) faction I'm interested in getting into, insights or ideas are more than welcome as I explore what they have to offer. A lot of folks will say "Ion isn't worth it" and that's not exactly true. Ion--if your squad doesn't also bring damage--isn't worth it. Ion where you do bring damage? I have a couple of left-over points and totally overlooked that left room for a FCS. Yeah, I'm not generally excited about the Ion Cannon but I wanted to have some double-tap ability and it was those or Autocannons. Spinland 314 Posted September 2 And, as luck would have it (I try to stick to builds that use ships I physically own) today I scored a small pile (well, five) of used T-65 models minus any cardboard or cards. Decent price and low shipping. Between the Core Kit and picking up two Rebel Conversion Kits I now have more than enough physical game components to field some X-Wing Spam if I feel like having five of them going at once. According to the Wiki Marksmanship isn't HS legal but the latest points list says it was just re-added. Hmm.
