warlord ilhanicus 0 Posted August 31, 2020 Can you use this card when you defend with an ally? If yes, can you remove threat in excess of the Ally's remaining HP? As in if the ally had only 1 health and the villain did 5 dmg, would you remove 5 threat or just 1?
BCumming 232 Posted September 2, 2020 Card text: "Hero Response (thwart): After the villain attacks you, remove 1 threat from a scheme for each damage you took from the attack (to a maximum of 5)." So the villain is attacking you and you block with an ally. If that villain's attack doesn't have overkill then you take no damage and would remove no threat if you play the card. If the villain's attack does have overkill then you take the amount of damage past what is needed to defeat the ally and could remove that amount of threat, to a maximum of 5 as stated on the card. 3 Tonbo Karasu, Derrault and jonboyjon1990 reacted to this
Orcdruid 500 Posted September 6, 2020 To Clarify what @BCumming said, the reason this doesn't work is because you, the player, can't take damage, so 'you' defaults down to you, the identity(the hero you have chosen to play). 1 BCumming reacted to this

Ahhhh that's how that works. Thanks for the clarification.
