I know here in the U.S. there have been some delivery issues but that's on the carriers not FFG. Those who don't get anything, i wonder if FFG has a harder time shipping/distributing to those places in general, or if there is some conscious decisions made higher up to get product where it is guaranteed to sell, or where tariffs are lower or whatever the reason. I doubt there are personal reasons, but i could be wrong Darth evil. If the issue was distribution, or the carriers, then it would slowly sort itself out as things slowly moved along the lines towards their destination. If Phase IIs are any indication, that's not the case at all. There simply isn't enough product moving in the system. As for making decisions to send product to where it will sell, that also doesn't make a **** bit of sense. Stores have already purchased them, but not receiving their orders. Individuals (including myself) have already paid for preorders, but not received them. If they were sending product to places where they are guaranteed to sell, then preorders would be a priority before anyone saw a single expansion on the shelf. 3 NeverTellMeTheOdds, KryatDragon and twincast reacted to this

I agree, but if there was indeed, a certain amount of stock that was damaged/destroyed as indicated in the rumors of water damage or whatever (mentioned above) then someone has to make a decision as to who gets theirs and who doesn't. 2 Caimheul1313 and twincast reacted to this

Alpharaider47 37 Posted September 1 (edited) I was able to get 3 boxes, but I preordered directly from FFG. I've been burned too many times in the past by not getting enough of each expansion, and my LGS doesn't get a reliable volume of Legion product in. I like to support brick and mortar when I can, but the Republic is my main army and I'd like to keep them well stocked. My only complaint so far about them has been being shoehorned into using the flight stands for at least 3 of the Arcs without any modification- I prefer the look of a grounded army and with the flight stands they don't fit in my standard battlefoam trays. However, the fit and quality of the models has been amazing. I bought 3 boxes and have not had any issues with them whatsoever. The flight stands are growing on me and I cannot wait to see them all painted up. Edited September 1 by Alpharaider47

And that's fine. Spread out the available product so as to not leave any unnecessary gaps in distribution. Makes sense, and while a perfect distribution is likely impossible, such a move should be accompanied by an announcement of exactly what happened and how they're working to address the issue, not "rumors of water damage" and social media posts about them being available and "everything is fine!" On the good news, I was able to get the lone ARC unit from my FLGS. They almost goofed big time, as it was sitting on the shelf when I walked in, but let me have it with no problem. Got 'em assembled last night, even with the awkward flight stand only poses. (being that I hate flight stands, I did not use any of them) Edited September 1 by Alpha17
evo454 432 Posted September 1 All these folks talking about hitting their local game store to pick up legion models is making me more and more sad that ours went out of business. I can't get models at all unless I order them, unfortunately. (Still haven't received my preorder)

(being that I hate flight stands, I did not use any of them) I started assembling mine last night. I've been holding on to a unit of Phase I that I planned on converting. I'd like an extra sniper squad because I think Fives is going in with a core unit. It looks like I might have enough to make a small Phase II unit out of the extra heads. I'm going to have to greenstuff the shoulder pads and skirts for the 2 extras.

OOM-Roger Doger 3 Posted September 1 (edited) If you want to get Legion products on launch, ironically THE WORST thing you can do is preorder them. Chances are you are preordering at a store/shop that'll either get little or no product at all, or is only getting some of the stuff they are ordering from Asmodee/FFG, which won't even be enough to fulfill all of their pre-orders. It doesn't matter if you are buying from a well known web store or local gaming store. Even ordering from FFG directly isn't absolutely reliable. On the other hand some small and unknown FLGS will end up getting everything they ordered and more. So if you actually want a guaranteed chance of getting any Legion products then wait until 1-3 weeks before the product hits, regularly check as many web stores as you can, and as soon as one of them has the product in store (this is often the case days or even weeks before the official release date) you order it from them right away. That's how I got one or two copies of every single Seperatist unit that has released so far, including two copies of the Clone Wars Starter. Heck I usually end up getting them quite some time before their official release date. I can't speak for the US, but that's certainly how things are in Europe. There are VERY few Legion products that get released in anything resembling sufficient quantities (it's pretty easy to pick up Dooku or Bane, but otherwise things end up completely unavailable a few days after launch) and follow up shipments only happen months later. That's sadly the way it is and has been even before the case since at least the initial Clone Wars release (which was completely sold out in Europe after a few days and MANY people did not even recieve their pre-order. Hilariously enough Asmodee announced two weeks before launch that the next planned shipment in Europe after the initial one was going to happen 6 months after launch, so many people who pre-ordered got nothing while others ended up with 12 boxes of the Starter. Still not sure if it's even available again now). Edited September 1 by OOM-Roger Doger
Animewarsdude 3,639 Posted September 2 I really hope that they do another run of ARCs real soon to deal with the exceedingly low supply of them, though Phase 2s are still out of stock and have been since release. But its real frustrating, the only way I can get stuff is online, my LFGS aside from the January releases has only received the Cassian and K2 expansion out of everything released this year, and Asmodee's store for whatever reason doesn't allow me to make preorders, though I can make normal orders just fine so don't know what that all is about, so my only means of getting stuff at this point is ordering from online retailers. sjroorda 0 Posted September 2 I will just pile on here. I ordered from Miniature Market and they had enough BXs to fill my pre-order but not my ARCs. They told me they were shorted a large amount and have no estimate for when they will get a re-supply. Given that I cannot get B2s or Phase 2s still it has really killed my enthusiasm for this game and my desire and motivation to place ANY orders for products. Its hard to get excited when they announce something knowing it will take you 6 mos to a year before you can get it
Yodhrin 353 Posted September 2 You know what'd be real nice about now? Some actual communication from FFG. Enough of the know-a-guy-who-knows-a-guy-who's-in-a-discord stuff, figure out what's going on, figure out how long it will take to fix it, and make a proper official statement letting us know. The fact that there are problems is much less annoying than the fact we're all stuck pretty much guessing what they are and have no idea when or if they'll be solved. 5 Alpha17, KryatDragon, twincast and 2 others reacted to this
KarlVonCarstein 106 Posted September 2 So I finally got my hands on one box of arc troopers, and I'm one model short of how I want to run them (full squad with echo, strike team with sniper, and fives in a troop unit). What's the best proxy until I get a second box, maby an extra phase 2 trooper?

KryatDragon 347 Posted September 3 (edited) All I know from this whole things is that FFG/Asmodee sucks at distribution. This is not a new fact - they've sucked at that for a VERY long time now. It's just worse now that they've gone to their own distributor. I had an eBay order with ARCs that was cancelled due to store not having enough product (so they claim, I'm watching them. If I see a box relisted by them at some of the stupid eBay $75+ dollar marks, I'm gonna be real pissed.) I contacted Miniature Market to have them cancel the ARCs from my order so I can at least get my BX's and a board game - because they contacted me directly to say that they did not get nearly enough ARCs and they do not know when more are coming in. So essentially I could have a pre-order just hanging in limbo for months... I'd rather not. I've ordered a box with one of my Local LGSs, the other said they tried but got 0 of both. And are not expecting to get any (they honestly have nearly stopped ordering Legion because of the terrible and incompetent distribution). The other is hopeful that they will arrive soon - I told them good luck. I mean I hope they come in, but I do not expect them too... That is three (sorta 4) sources in 3 states that have either not received enough stock or not received any stock. I have never seen a company so determined to not make money as FFG/Asmodee. Why they insist on under producing everything, I do not know. It's such a bad way of doing business. (didn't stop them from taking the money off my card, though) I've learned to be extra patient with FFG, but I'll admit that I'm a bit salty about this. I'm hoping that my Imperial Special Forces and ATRT arrive on time so I'll have something to paint in the mean time. 1 Dusksong reacted to this
blackfocker 0 Posted September 3 I just got an update email from Miniature Market (who I preordered my two boxes of ARC's through) and it said that the expected release has been moved to February 2021. So this is somewhat of an improvement.
DFocke 262 Posted September 3 Yeah, it is a bit frustrating, but at least there is something of a date. For others who also pre-ordered through MM, they were very happy to spit my Arcs off from the rest of my order. So the rest of my order is shipping, and when the Arcs come in they will also ship. I did have to call to ask, but there was no problem.
