Ninotik 20 Posted August 28 With the new points out here, i'm trying to fly 3 e-wings so i bought a third ship and all of its 2.0 stuff. I came with this squad: Rebels 3E+A (51) Rogue Squadron Escort [E-wing] (2) R4 Astromech (2) Fire-Control System Points: 55 (51) Rogue Squadron Escort [E-wing] (2) R4 Astromech (2) Fire-Control System Points: 55 (51) Rogue Squadron Escort [E-wing] (2) R4 Astromech (2) Fire-Control System Points: 55 (29) Phoenix Squadron Pilot [RZ-1 A-wing] (3) Intimidation Points: 32 Total points: 197 Has anyone ever tried it? What do you think? is the bid worth it? would you change something? thx 2 JBFancourt and admat reacted to this
Amc879 149 Posted August 28 Personally I would just upgrade the R4s to R3 and sit at an even 200. But thats because I love the R3 Fcs combo 2 Cpdio and JBFancourt reacted to this
j_man_04 944 Posted August 28 If you’re not taking talent slots on the Rouges you could drop down to Knaves, upgrade to R3s, and bump your a-wing up to Arvel with intimidation. 1 JBFancourt reacted to this

I think the Init 4 of Rogues is probably too useful. For only 2 points, you move up into Init-Kill range for a decent amount of stuff, and out of it against pretty much anything low. With their double-mod approach, the offense-forward E-Wing, IMHO, really prefers to be higher initiative. With other ships, being earlier for blocking is a fair trade, but I think E-Wings need kills early, otherwise just bring X-Wings. 4 hours ago, Amc879 said: Personally I would just upgrade the R4s to R3 and sit at an even 200. What do you think? is the bid worth it? would you change something? thx Ask three people about E-Wings, and you'll get five opinions. I know R4 has it's supporters, and it really does great things for an E-Wing dial, adding two new speed 2 blues (bank and hard), plus the newly white 1-hards are pretty sweet. However, R3 // I'd go Knave, R3, and Arvel, and skip FCS. I want the high Initiative of Knaves, double locks from R3 to make the approach better, and I'd rather have Arvel over a Phoenix. FCS is just what I'd rather cut. FCS is good, and I can't quite get everything I might want. Maybe I'm being optimistic, but ideally the first lock target dies on the first round of attacks, then you can switch to #2, and hopefully that dies, and won't need FCS. That's certainly too optimistic, but I think I'd still cut FCS to get everything else. Just a matter of preference. I'm sure all variants of the 3E + Intimidation A-wing are pretty close. // What's going through my head right now is to run Arvel, 2 FCS/R3 Rogues, and some sort of crew ship. An Auzituck with Leia? JBFancourt 1,261 Posted August 29 (edited) I personally vote on pairing E/As. They fly so perfectly together. My vote: (51) Rogue Squadron Escort [E-wing] (3) R3 Astromech (2) Fire-Control System Points: 56 (51) Rogue Squadron Escort [E-wing] (3) R3 Astromech (2) Fire-Control System Points: 56 (51) Rogue Squadron Escort [E-wing] (3) R3 Astromech (2) Fire-Control System Points: 56 (29) Phoenix Squadron Pilot [RZ-1 A-wing] (3) Intimidation Points: 32 Total points: 200 Edit: Sorry, realize already said. To add more thought, Zeb in attack shuttle is the best way to get another 3-die gun. Edited August 29 by JBFancourt
theBitterFig 11,598 Posted August 29 Here's another thought: not Intimidation Phoenix Squadron Pilot, but Sabine Wren TIE Fighter with Intimidation. 31 points, so a spare for bid, plus some incredible mobility, at the cost of a health. 3 JBFancourt, admat and DR4CO reacted to this

I had the same notion. I can see it being pretty good in the meta at the moment -- the i4 Rogues are going to bully a lot of low-initiative lists, and can apply solid pressure against aces, as well. 1 theBitterFig reacted to this
sevrenjest 4 Posted September 4 Knave Squadron Escort + R4 Astromech / Knave Squadron Escort + R4 Astromech / Knave Squadron Escort + R4 Astromech / Heff Tobber + Pivot Wing + Intimidation / Been flying this for a little while and works out pretty good. Get a little added beef with Heff.
Sonikgav 329 Posted September 24 Heff seems fun, really tempted by the Sabine idea too.
