Defender or decimator?

I'm thinking about a list but I cannot decide which one will be more difficult to beat: a Delta squadron pilot (TIE defender) or a Patrol leader (Decimator). They are both currently 67 points. The two possible squads would be:

So whay do you guys think is better?

to me delta is better....

it saves its points better than decimator and it is also a decent end game piece.

I've had a few fun games with Patrol Leaders, but only when they also have Force Crew/Gunners.  This allows them passive mods to attack with, while taking Reinforce for safety, or Lock if you just want to push damage.  My specific squad was two Patrol Leaders, one with Seventh Sister, one with Fifth Brother, plus Duchess.  Points are probably all out-of-whack now, but it was a kinda fun little squad.  Not really great, but kind of interesting.

But even with a Force Crew/gunner, I'm not sure this would be the right squad for a Patrol Leader.  Defender should just have good time on target, plus being potentially pretty tanky, and if ignored it can really clean up the last few turns.

With a Decimator, if your opponent wants it dead, it will die. Focus fire, lucky crits etc, the Deci just takes it like a big boy. The same cannot be said for the Defender.

You underestimate my blocking token stack!

You might be blocking God, but it would be hard to block all ships in a list with the Deci. Any hits is damage on a Deci, with only 4 shields it doesn’t take long before the RNG crits start to add up. 
You also need to take into consideration the opponents skill not to be blocked as well.

My bad, misread your initial statement to read the opposite of what you were saying.
