[Rebel, Hyperspace] Something to bring against triple aces

Synergy between Lando and Arvel: I5 double reposition. The opponents with I5 ships and a bid, need to make the choice of who's has the initiative: being able to block Lando more easily, or risking Arvel to double reposition after their I5 has moved.

Any thoughts about the set up? Looks solid?

I'm wondering whether this is even worth working harder for a bid on.  If Intimidation Arvel can double reposition after I5 aces, that's got to be pretty terrifying for them.  Maybe Wedge + sizeable bid, then try and trade Wedge for any I6 on the board?

You have a valid argument there, however, Wedge is not in hyperspace now. Luke is though.

Han -> Leia and cutting Marksmanship creates a 3 point bid.  Not huge, but it could easily matter, while keeping 95% of the core of the list.

I am also thinking that swapping Han for Leia is the better option. That way you have at least one double modded attack in your set up.

Leia would in most cases only use that force on herself, so her pilot ability has limited usage as support for other ships. But you both think being able to move last for Lando is that important? I’m not sure why I am not convinced with Leia. I think it is because she is really not a support for Arvel or Lando, both who really don’t want do any red maneuvers.

Is Leia better than this Luke?

Can remove some upgrades for more bid. But I guess this Luke can stay on the board as an endgame pilot.

Let me know if I am not seeing the same as you do. I have limited experience with the falcon, and might not have realised the potential of the chassis. I guess Luke needs to be played quite aggressive early game, either for taking some shots that can be regened and doing the damage needed.

Still, would this type of list be a danger to triple aces lists?

More damage-output, more squishy...but I can imagine it would be a nightmare against I5. And still not useless against I6.

Maybe something to take into account is ”how much bid do you need to beat triple aces lists bid?”

Han should be able to double mod quite often? But you’re right : Leia can do a limited double mod.

It’s not important to keep the core of the list by have two falcons. But the chassis is good.

Always varies from post to post how much someone wants to keep the core.  Like, improve this list, or suggest a radically different list. I think it's just good praxis from reviewers to try to do the first as much as possible.

 

Anyhow, someone I used to play with was flying a decent amount of Arvel/Luke/Lando.  I think he went mostly with K-2SO on Lando, Luke was probably more trim (no R2-D2), but I honestly don't remember much beyond that.  Kaytoo is nifty since there will often be someone unstressed who intends to pull a blue move anyhow.  Not my personal favorite Lando upgrade, but still something worth considering.  With Lando probably often passing off an action to Arvel, he could use something to ensure his own mods.

Lando could use the title for 3 points for additional survivability (especially for when you face lists with higher ship counts) and APT on Luke for 5 points seems like a good value to really push damage through when you line up a range 1 kill shot on an ace. If triple aces are your goal though, I would add the title and call it a day at 193. 

Also, Lando has incredible action economy and will sometimes have actions to spare. Don't forget about the jam action from K2-SO.

R5 on Luke can be used to. But the title costs only 3 points and yes: not many triple ace lists have 7 point bids.

Maybe the title and marksman on Arvel. Seems like a high chance to actually have Arvel into some base fairly often. 194 points.

So, is this a solid list to take on a tournament? Something you would bring?

Only thing is that I have to get good at not being blocked with Lando

If keeping the core of the list is not required, then I suggest a two YT-1300 list.

• Lando Calrisian: Nien Nunb, K-2S0, Agile Gunner
• Leia Organa: Kanan Jarrus, Agile Gunner, Millenium Falcon

Lando can K-2S0 himself, then give Leia a bonus action. She is your mobile piece, while Lando is the border cruiser. Both can double mod and both can take a beating. Just good old action economy. Leia can easily drop Stress with a wide array of maneuvers, thanks to her buddy Kanan. Also giving her an additional Force Charge is priceless.

I seem to have Luke quickly halfed, when he does his blank green dice-thing😅 So have him more tanky and able to regen might be better for my style and suffer less from dice variance.

Having informant and a good blocker seems like a good fit
