Been waiting for a dodge version of binoculars. Situational awareness + 3 dodges from Leia is gonna be bonkers.

My AAT’s don’t care

Dodge isn't as good as aim

it won't ever be as good as the imperial counterpart

That's why this is exciting, dodges that are easier to get and works on crits.

I don't know that it will matter. Most units, you don't upgrade because it costs too much to divy up the upgrades.  This is the same way. There are only so many units that can take the Situational critical awareness, and with orders priority, it will be just that, situational and probably not worth the points.

Just like most of the upgrades, there's maybe 1-2 units that can benefit from them (duckNcover for Pathfinders/Jyn for example) most of them just lay in a box and don't get used because it's better to have another unit.

Rebel veterans, tauntauns, operative luke, sabine... These units don't get used?

OP Luke and tauntauns will basically never run situational awareness over tenacity, endurance, or the new offensive stance for OP Luke. Vets are only used for access to the turret and tend to be ran as cheap as possible +heavy. I could see Sabine, but endurance is so good.

Well different playsyles I guess. If my operative Luke did not use dodge tokens and went for double aims he wouldn't live past round 2 in my area :P. I used to go endurance, but the timing made it pretty meh. Removing at end of activation didn't help my rally from suppressive mortar fire.

Don't you mean Defensive? I can't imagine foregoing all Dodges with Luke...

Considering you can flip it mid game, makes sense to have whichever one will be best for that turn.

Did we ever see the flip side of Offensive Stance yet?

They don't usually take a bunch of upgrades (the upgrades is what is not getting used, someone alluded to taking situational awareness on several units to avoid crits) I don't really care about crits, because my unit is usually going to die from all the hits coming at them from the enemy. Heavy cover only blocks 2. White dice don't block on troops.

They usually don't get passed a bunch of dodges from Leia or whoever because 1. Leia didn't ride a tauntaun and can't keep up 2. if she passes out tokens, she doesn't move as much and she can't keep up 3. If you're taking Luke and Sabine in the same list with your tauntauns, Leia may not make the cut because your tight on points anyway.

Rebel Vets? no, I don't know who takes them because they really aren't much better than Rebel Troopers or Fleet troopers so, you take what's cheap and you usually don't waste Dodge tokens on them. The turret isn't cheap enough.  If it had the range that the mortar has, you'd see it played more.

Well. White dice to block 1/3 of all hits and I can often get range 4 pot shots from shores and mortars that delivers 2+ crits on my units. 2nd point, well veterans, tauntauns, sabine and luke have one thing in common, they get dodge tokens from other stuff than take cover or the dodge action. So Leia is not needed for them, but greatly helps rebel trooper and veterans. As for who plays these units, well the top rebels and undefeated rebel tournament winners around my area :P.

Like I said, different playstyles I guess. I think the new additions to dodges will greatly help alot of units in the rebel faction and I'm looking forward to using them to dodge enemy fire in my future tournaments.
