Resistance swarms

I've been having a lot of fun recently with a couple of resistance Swarm lists.  I started off playing with multiple fireballs, but soon realised that there were other, better options than the colossus station mechanic available.  Which do you prefer, and how might you tune these?

This was my own creation - a solid jousting block with two nimble blockers/flankers and an ace hunter too ...

This one, I pinched from @Stay On The Leader - Finn and Rose punch way above their points cost, and trade out the A-Wings for more ships.

Like you mentioned, Rose and Finn punch really hard and are super tanky. Jess and Bastian, if he survives first engagement, both gets double modified shots. The fireball is there to be a blocker or pesky flanker.

II have a friend who has been running 4x blue squad rookies and a colossus mechanic with deadman’s switch and has been wrecking stuff with it.

 

i like the combo of Rose and Finn in the same lost. I’ve been trying this. For the 31 points on rose you can also sub in a mechanic with advanced slam and fireball title which makes the list less consistent but much more ridiculous.

The jankiness and ridiculousness of the Fireball is neat. I haven't run R1-J5 or Resistance 3P0 yet - I'd be intrigued to see it.

I haven't run this yet, but it is next up to try.

Bucket plus 3P0 is neat. 90% of the time he’ll calculate as his action anyway, so this way he gets a bonus calculate when he does that, or gets one free when he’s coordinating Finn. I’ve found it to be pretty survivable and if he loves long enough so that he can coordinate Finn so that Finn can turn around once and still get his double focus while doing so, he’s done his job.

This sounds great, I'm adding it to my list of things to try sometime.  DMS is awesome, and 4 rookies is a really solid foundation for a list.  Interesting that some folk have taken 4 T70 (RSE with Heroic and HUll) quite far in big tourneys, but dropping the upgrades and the initiative for another ship is interesting

It terrifies me that this list fits. I would worry that it is weak to the turn-around turns with Finn and Rose both suffering unless they take the long way around. But for sheer jousting potential, it's a killer.

If I had 2 points over, I would consider it on Kaz, but I'm not sure I want to put any extra points into an i1 ship that  exists to be a slamming blocker.
