How do you run ID-10?

You can split damage however you want with Counterparts. You can basically wait until the Iden model has one hit point left before killing ID-10 (he only has 1 health, the shield token is for the unit).

So, if Iden takes two hit, she can take one wound and ID-10 loses a shield. Recover and get that shield back.

yes. and you can recover and get the shield back. 2 health points for 15pts is amazing on any figure, but especially her.

The entire unit has the shield, not just ID-10.

And an optional comms slot. Better deal in many ways than the comms specialist.

Yes. Options are always good. My son runs Iden with Veers or Krennic sometimes and I've been tempted to tell him that HQ uplink could be useful for those times you want to spread the chain of commands down the row, but still want Iden to activate first on the 1st and 3rd pips, especially with Shoretroopers, you can have your Corps units with face up tokens and both your commanders

Sounds good on paper. But the opponent can still snap Iden into combat by engaging ID10 when he is that close. And she really doesn't like melee 😕.

With ID10 she has 2 red, 3 white in melee, that's not so bad.

Small also means you don't check range from ID-10, so they have to be within range of Iden.

Not generally, that only applies for attacks. comms jammer is not an attack, so the range can be measured from ID10.

I would run a comms relay. Turns Iden's 1 pip into activate anything within range 2 of her. And since all her card give her an order token you can use it on any of them cards.
