Staelwulf 194 Posted May 6 (edited) There are so many better pairings than Krennic. Commander Vader with Bossk, Boba or Iden. Operative Vader with Iden or Imperial Officer... Krennic's strong points are his command cards and his Entourage. His 3 Pip would work well with (commander) Vader because of his "no panic" bubble but that's not enough to justify taking him imo. If you take Krennic, DT and Vader with upgrades you are close to 450 points already for only 3 activations. That would leave you with just 350 points with which you also need to pay for 3 corp units... Like I said, I think Krennic doesn't work well with him. What are your thoughts? Krennic will choke on his own aspirations. That reminds me: I would really like to get Tarkin or Thrawn for Legion even though they are primarily admirals. Thrawn (and to a lesser degree Tarkin) spent quite a bit of time on the ground in the prelude series REBELS. Then I think they became Admirals. Tarkin was on his way up to his status in Rogue One, I'm not sure in the new canon if Thrawn made it to Admiral or if he was more of a director before he and Ezra go on sabbatical. bllaw 250 Posted May 6 IMO while Vader and Krennic is not the best combo, it CAN be really good. Like others have said, Krennic's command cards are his strong point and they work even better with Vader. With a little luck, his one pip can get Vader to activate first without a doubt in almost all circumstances due to Cunning. Then Krennic's two pip can get Vader a free standby token...truly horrifying. Lastly, an amazing play that is hard to pull off but well worth it is a one-two punch from them both with their powerhouse command cards- lay down Master of Evil one turn then the very next one you play Annihilation looms and bam most of the enemy force has 4 suppression (excluding rallying) and that doesn't even include any extra suppression they may have taken from other attacks. This will panic so many units and it's an amazing way to wrap up a game. So yeah, they do work together pretty well i think. That is why I said primarily 😉 Watch the first 30 seconds of the vid.
