Cis double Fall lists pros and cons thoughts

Recommended Posts

Modules when list building and in play I find that can be move around and play well together are some thing I have ever been working on. So A loaded C.Dooku will be 235, while 3 units of BX kitied for melee cost the same as 3 units of STAPs with Linked Targeting at 234 each. Below are some list I have been playing and testing pushing to capitalize the few options we have atm.

10 Activations / 791pts

C.Dooku- F.Choke, F.Reflex, F.Push, E.Leader

G.Grevious- Tenacity, E.Leader

B1(6)- x6

BX(4)- Tenacity, Vibroblades x2

-------

9 Activations / 797pts

C.Dooku- F.Choke, F.Reflex, F.Push, E.Leader

G.Grevious- Tenacity, E.Leader

B1(6)- x4

BX(4)- Tenacity, Vibroblades x3

-------

8 Activations / 799pts

C.Dooku- F.Choke, F.Reflex, F.Push, E.Leader

G.Grevious- Tenacity, E.Leader

B1(6)- E5B x4

BX(4)- Tenacity, Vibroblades x2

-------

8 Activations / 799pts

C.Dooku- F.Choke, F.Reflex, F.Push, E.Leader

G.Grevious- Tenacity, E.Leader

B1(6)- E5B, HQ

B1(6)- E5B ×4

B2(3)- B2, ACM

-------

Not a double fall lists but one that subs for Activations and Surge Crit.

10 Activations / 800pts

C.Dooku- F.Choke, F.Reflex, F.Push, E.Leader

B1(6)- E5B, HQ

B1(6)- E5B X4

B1(6)- CommsR

STAP(2)- LTA x2

STAP(2)- LRComm

-------

10 Activations / 799pts

G.Grevious- Endurance, E.Leader, Ag.T, Dt57

B1(6)- HQ

B1(6)-

B1(6)- CommsR

STAP- LTA x2

STAP- LRComm

BX(4) Tenacity, Vibroblades x3

So what are your thoughts and preferences in your meta?

I think aggressive tactics is better than esteemed leader. Endurance is one of the must haves on Grievous as he only has a courage of 2. Having 2 B1 units with HQ helps so after one unit uses it, the other one can use it next turn.

Maybe try this

9 activations 787/800 (so add in some upgrades you want)

Grievous (Endurance, Aggressive tactics)

Count Dooku (Force push, Force reflexes, Force choke, Aggressive tactics)

B1 Battle droids (5 in total - 2 with HQ and 3 naked)

BX commando (tenacity, vibrosword) x2

I could be wrong, but I have a hard time seeing the STAP droids giving the BX Commando droids a run for their money. Competitively, the BX droids are better in every department except speed, but with Scout  and Scale I think they will make up time and won't die as fast.

I think STAP droids will be fun and hopefully there is a mid-range commander that gives Droid Vehicles some kind of edge when they are taken together (STAPs, Droidekas and AAT Tanks all together.)

STAPs are support and BX are special forces, so they aren't competing for slots. Points is another matter, but the mission deck will dictate. I do think STAPs are going to be pretty money on bombing run and breakthrough. Toss in a full unit of B2's for Hostage and season theblast card to taste.

yeah, I just meant for this list, which seemed to have a melee theme.  I would take the BXCommando droids first.  They'll come out first too (we hope) so there's that side of things.
