DerRitter 231 Posted March 12 Hello! Iḿ trying to build a heavy bomber fleet around a pelta, so far this is what I have: Faction: Rebel Alliance Points: 399/400 Commander: General Rieekan Assault Objective: Precision Strike Defense Objective: Fighter Ambush Navigation Objective: Superior Positions [ flagship ] Modified Pelta-class Command Ship (60 points) - General Rieekan ( 30 points) - Adar Tallon ( 10 points) - Fighter Coordination Team ( 3 points) - Boosted Comms ( 4 points) - All Fighters, Follow Me! ( 5 points) = 112 total ship cost Nebulon-B Escort Frigate (57 points) - Yavaris ( 5 points) - Flight Commander ( 3 points) - Auxiliary Shields Team ( 3 points) = 68 total ship cost GR-75 Medium Transports (18 points) - Bright Hope ( 2 points) - Toryn Farr ( 7 points) = 27 total ship cost GR-75 Medium Transports (18 points) - Bomber Command Center ( 8 points) = 26 total ship cost Hammerhead Torpedo Corvette (36 points) - External Racks ( 3 points) = 39 total ship cost 1 Ten Numb ( 19 points) 1 Dagger Squadron ( 15 points) 1 Biggs Darklighter ( 19 points) 1 Gold Squadron ( 12 points) 1 Jan Ors ( 19 points) 1 YT-1300 ( 13 points) 1 Dutch Vander ( 16 points) 1 B-Wing Squadron ( 14 points) = 127 total squadron cost The idea is to slingshot the bwings using AFFM! and FCT, I feel that against another heavy squadron ball it may lack the firepower to win the squadron fight. I'm also not sold on Adar Tallon on the Pelta, a 112 pts pelta seems like an awful lot of points in a fragile ship. Any comments or suggestions? reegsk 742 Posted March 12 I flew a very similar list a few years ago, with Dodonna instead of Rieekan, and three Medium Transports because it was before the flotilla cap. [ flagship ] Modified Pelta-class Command Ship (60 points) - General Dodonna ( 20 points) - Phoenix Home ( 3 points) - Raymus Antilles ( 7 points) - Flight Commander ( 3 points) - Fighter Coordination Team ( 3 points) - Boosted Comms ( 4 points) - All Fighters, Follow Me! ( 5 points) = 105 total ship cost GR-75 Medium Transports (18 points) - Bright Hope ( 2 points) - Slicer Tools ( 7 points) = 27 total ship cost GR-75 Medium Transports (18 points) - Toryn Farr ( 7 points) - Boosted Comms ( 4 points) - Bomber Command Center ( 8 points) = 37 total ship cost Nebulon-B Escort Frigate (57 points) - Yavaris ( 5 points) - Flight Commander ( 3 points) - Nav Team ( 4 points) = 69 total ship cost GR-75 Medium Transports (18 points) - Leia Organa ( 3 points) - Comms Net ( 2 points) = 23 total ship cost 1 Jan Ors ( 19 points) 2 X-Wing Squadrons ( 26 points) 2 B-Wing Squadrons ( 28 points) 1 Biggs Darklighter ( 19 points) 1 Ten Numb ( 19 points) 1 YT-1300 ( 13 points) 1 Y-Wing Squadron ( 10 points) = 134 total squadron cost That's the last version I had saved on Warlords. Obviously one flotilla would have to be dropped (Slicer Tools would be the easiest). I did eventually add Adar Tallon onto one of the ships, but I can't remember which now. He can be very, very clutch depending on your build. In this list, I used Adar then Yavaris to attack with Ten Numb three times, and used the Toryn Farr re-roll to help trigger his ability three times (which wiped out ten TIE Fighter/Interceptor squadrons!). In another, similar list, the Adar/Yavaris combo saw Luke burn down two Arquitens in two turns. So if you can fit it in there, they work very well together. But having Adar on the Pelta also means you don't have either Flight Commander or Raymus, both of which benefit this build. Since you need some way to feed the Pelta a Squadron token each turn, you'll either need Comms Net or Raymus. But if you take Raymus and Adar, it's an expensive, fragile ship and you can't push squads with FCC and then activate them. Honestly, I wouldn't worry about the Pelta being too expensive. Yavaris has a giant bullseye on it, so if they're attacking the Pelta they probably already killed Yavaris and your bombers, so you're dead anyway. Mj10982 8 Posted March 12 Here's my take. I use the Space Potato for added muscle. Rebel Bombers Author: mj10982 Faction: Rebels Commander: Garm Bel Iblis Assault Objective: Precision Strike Defense Objective: Fighter Ambush Navigation Objective: Dangerous Territory [flagship] Modified Pelta-Class Command Ship (60) - Garm Bel Iblis (25) - Phoenix Home (3) - All Fighters, Follow Me! (5) - Expanded Hangar Bay (5) - Raymus Antilles (7) - Major Derlin (7) - Fighter Coordination Team (3) = 115 points GR-75 Medium Transports (18) - Bright Hope (2) - Bomber Command Center (8) - Boosted Comms (4) - Toryn Farr (7) = 39 points Assault Frigate Mark II B (72) - Gallant Haven (8) - Reinforced Blast Doors (5) - Adar Tallon (10) - Spinal Armament (9) - Flight Controllers (6) = 110 points 4 B-Wing Squadron (14) 1 Gold Squadron (12) 1 HWK-290 (12) 1 Norra Wexley (17) 1 Wedge Antilles (19) 1 "Dutch" Vander (16) = 132 points 1 Cpt ObVus reacted to this

An Onager will beat you up, take your lunch money, use it to buy your girlfriend lunch, then beat her up too. Onagers absolutely prey upon Nebulon-Bs, Hammerheads, and Peltas. For that matter, good luck against an SSD, it wrecks all these ships too. You need something more resilient or evasive to anchor your list and not get you tabled while your bombers do their job. The Pelta/Yavaris/120+squad points list has always been a tough one to piece together, but now more than ever, I think.

The AFMkIIB has the shields and tokens it needs to stay on the table while the Bombers go to work. Downside, of course, is no Yavaris. You can also try going the other way, with Yavaris instead of the Pelta, but good luck fitting in both with all the bells and whistles you want, like Fleet Commands and Adar Tallon. Speaking of the Fleet Command: it’s very good with B-Wings, but you know what may be better, cheaper, and way easier to use? The new Wedge Antilles Officer card. Note that he only works with non-uniques, but trust me, he makes those B-Wings MOVE. And they’re hard to pin down with Cloak, to boot.
