Blail Blerg 7,585 Posted March 9 Do I get stress during the maneuver and then can use kanan to remove and then take an action? Please @ me
theBitterFig 11,598 Posted March 9 Yes, @Blail Blerg , there is a Santa Claus Kanan removes stress after flying over a debris. The timing on debris stress is "after the check pilot stress step" which is within the "execute maneuver" step. Kanan happens after you fully execute a white maneuver; thus after you've gotten the stress. Korr Sella in Resistance has a similar effect, although she requires you do fully execute a blue maneuver. 3 nitrobenz, Blail Blerg and 5050Saint reacted to this

So things requiring a "Fully Execute" trigger may only occur after the Check Difficulty Step?

That's why an Aethersprite can't use Fine-Tuned Controls to boost or barrel roll after taking a red move: it receives stress first, and can't do actions while stress. However, at least Pattern Analyzer has a different timing, which happens specifically before Check Difficulty. 1 1 nitrobenz and Frimmel reacted to this

Point of order: Pattern Analyzer reads, "While you fully execute..." so even that isn't an exception to the general consensus of 'after a maneuver is after the Check Difficulty step.' Things with just "execute", partially or otherwise, all trigger at the same time. They all finish at the same time. Unless an ability wants a specific one, there is no difference in timing between partially executing, and fully executing a maneuver. Without the restriction, Kanan would trigger at the same time even if he partially executed a maneuver. 1 1 nitrobenz and Frimmel reacted to this

Exactly. It's similar, but a hair different. Although it has a different wording, I think it still fits within the same rough concept of "fully execute," and wanted to lampshade it, rather than pretend it doesn't exist. 1 nitrobenz reacted to this
