Icky2 0 Posted December 20, 2008 Ok so everyone remembers the old days of ukyo evil rush and how much fun he was to play, trying to find something comparable in block 3 was the idea for this and kyoshiro has the only effect even remotely similar with once per game draw 5 cards. Kyshiro is also one of those characters everyone thought oh thats cool but never ran him so diversity is my friend anyone wanting to the deck sides into many others to make for more fun but kyoshiro hits the highest damages by far. characters that work are, Ibuki - Kilik - **guy** - kula - lord raptor - *rera* - ***yumeji*** before posting replys to this deck please consider this, THE DECK IS BLOCK 3 Starting character Kyoshiro 7 20 Attacks 2x midnight pleasure 4x terrestrial heavy machine gun 4x bayonette lunge 3x fatal disruptor Splits 4x Mega spike 4x Preventing the curse Foundations 3x visions of destiny 3x the bigger they are 3x forethought 4x savage fighter 3x lesser of many evils 4x soichi jinmu 4x realm of midnight 4x soul of ling-sheng su 4x lord of the makai 4x cimmitment to excelence actions 4x Purpose Ok so heres the deal turn 1 make board try to get down a real of midnight and a lord of the makai turn 2 go for the kill playing out attacks in order of making sure the ones like terrestrail machine gun get blocked and fatal disruptor as bait then things like bayonette lunge removing its own difficulty from the card pool whilst dealing ok damage. then a mega spike and play purpose to in effect clear your card pool whilst having cards like bayonette lunge giving you even more cchax to play out a massive midnight pleasure. lord of the makai getting you tons of momentum from your attacks and your opponents to fule powerfull on midnight pleasure and preventing the curse. any ideas as good replacements for machine gun with the same stats would be helpfull along with any really good cchax cards i have forgotten. so far the deck is consistant turn 2-3 with turn 3 hitting massive damage to deal with soak deck
Icky2 0 Posted December 21, 2008 does anyone have any input on this deck? even if its just to say they like it? it would be nice to have some kind of feedback from you guys. lilly
Icky2 0 Posted December 24, 2008 Ok so after playing this deck alot i have decided that whilst kyoshiro is good for long games, Kula is better short game and allows the deck more speed the deck is also playing Kyoshiros super rare 4/3 4high for 4 damage attack to draw cards should i find my opponent is taller than me. kula just adds two new dynamics to the deck destroying her foundations to both speed pump attacks to push them through and to hack her control checks through foundation destruction again. as most of deck has single use commit foundations it works really well allowing her to use say soichi then destroy it for a total +4 to her checks. ill mess arround with other characters but kula has all the benefits of ibuki whist making things harder to block not easyer. one matchup this deck does struggle with however is earth/fire sagat he builds so fast from me that unless i get a single turn ko the next tturn i cant damage him for love nor money
tuggs 0 Posted December 25, 2008 I loves me some Kyoshiro. My current build is Earth- for obvious reasons- but when rotation occurs, I'm gonna have to reconsider Ukyo's understudy. Aren't Oral Dead and Red Lotus both B3 legal? It looks like this is a Chaos build... It might seem counterintuitive to run defensive cards in your *rush* deck, but I'd recommend trimming Visions of Destiny and Siochi Jinmu to accommodate these bad boys. Also, I'm not sure how frequently you get to use Savage Fighter- it's too bad that Chaos has sub-par multiples. Come B3, Chaos loses a lot of its punch. With the exception of Midnight Pleasure, there aren't too many *finishers* in the deck. Fire Kick is awesome, and if you go this route, Dancing Battle Kabuki is just icing on the cake. Keep working on it. He's definitely got amazing potential, and at any major, diversity will certainly be on your side.
Icky2 0 Posted December 26, 2008 thanks for the input ,soichi is so good in here as the F: side allows me to regain some life if im on the back foot but also allows the control bonus's the deck needs to survive. Visions of destiny is so so good as it allows me to pull as many attacks as i can with kyoshiros ability and also using things like lord of the makai it stops me putting unknown cards into my momentum. savage fighter really does work wonders thinking along the basic principal of mega spikes 3 difficulty i can attach a throw to the end of a string and then pump the hell out of it. the only real thing i have to consider is my attack lineup, whilst its effective im hoping there will be some really broken cards for me to use in the new sets. I also cant see the need for oral dead in this deck it could go sb against a really strong Form based agro deck or just to stop owlface, for the current time however the next event this deck will see is No infinity cards allowed red lotus is also not needed in here there are no situations where i really care about getting tapped down as i have little to do in my ops turn apart from stack my deck using VoD and momentum gen with lord of the makai. what i really need is ideas on attacks to replace fatal disruptor and kyoshiros super rare attack. also the bonus's of running kula are that she can re-ready her VoD's by discarding momentum
tuggs 0 Posted December 28, 2008 Oral Dead is just so toolboxy. I suggested it, because it shuts down a lot of things in my meta; Lesser of Many Evils, They Bigger They Are..., OwlFace, Armored Defense, Program Malfunction, Fortune Teller, etc.- many of which carry over into B3. Attack-wise, Knee Gatling can be incredible, and I think it's very underrated.
