Ramix 4 Posted January 28 Hi everyone. I not a competitive player, only play with friends. Nomemories 72 Posted January 28 You don't need fire control teams as you don't have two crit effects. Why engine techs on the Pelta? With boosted comms you don't want or need it get that close to the action. Also without escorts they'll knock out Jan Ors without her ever using her ability, she'll be the enemy squadrons' first target. Overall it's an interesting list but I would more fully commit to squadrons.

Overall it's an interesting list but I would more fully commit to squadrons. Ouh right about engine tech and fire team. Thanks for advice. I took them out and change the squadron: Jan ors out generic HWK in, and wedge in to escort. Name: Untitled Fleet Faction: Rebel Commander: General Dodonna Assault: Defense: Navigation: MC80 Star Cruiser (96) • Intel Officer (7) • Engine Techs (8) • Leading Shots (4) • H9 Turbolasers (8) • Spinal Armament (9) • Mon Karren (8) = 140 Points Pelta Command Ship (60) • General Dodonna (20) • Adar Tallon (10) • All fighters, Follow Me! Which mission could fit in this list?
Herr Style 205 Posted January 30 For me, too many upgrades supporting fighters, but not enough fighters. I would put in 6-10 Reb fighters, and possibly drop Yavaris for 2 GR-75’s?
Nomemories 72 Posted January 30 Generally for bombers, particularly Dodonna, your best bets are Precision Strike, Fighter Ambush, and Superior positions. I agree with Herr though, too many activations for too few squadrons. Tough choices all but some of those high cost upgrades on the on the Liberty have to go in favor of more squadrons, Adar Tallon is always nice but he might go too in favor of more squadrons, you wouldn't need Phoenix home than either which means even more points for squads. Try and get up to at least 100 pts in squadrons. Ultimately, what you may want to do is swap the Liberty for an AFII.
The Jabbawookie 5,613 Posted January 30 (edited) @Ramix I guess the first question is: what do you want your list to do? Emphasize a full bomber wing as your main source of damage, or a medium wing to provide support against ships and slow down enemy squadrons? If you’re trying to lean heavily on bombers, it’s generally best to approach the 134 point limit to get the most out of upgrades and carriers. Stuff like Bomber Command Center, Toryn Farr and Jan Ors (escorted) become almost auto-includes. If you’re going for the second approach, it encourages a lot less dedicated carrier tech and more combat-oriented ships, along with a group of squads that can hold their own against ships or squadrons. Aces like Lando or Shara Bey, or versatile generics like the X-wing. This is a major factor in determining the objective suite. It’s true...the list seems like it wants to do all things in all case. I was thinking in a list like the second choice @The Jabbawookie was talking about...Squadrons to slow down the enemy squadrons. @Nomemories, I don’t have AFII, but have two MC30 and two CR90, it could be the way? So in this way I think Nebulon is not necessary. I’ll try a new list this night and post here Thanks 1 The Jabbawookie reacted to this

It's an overpriced ship if it isn't offering some important buff to a lot of your fleet. A Lib, 2 TRC90s, 2 GR75s and some fighters could be a solid list. Maybe something like this: Name: Karren and the Kids Faction: Rebel Commander: General Dodonna Assault: Precision Strike Defense: Asteroid Tactics Navigation: Navigational Hazards MC80 Star Cruiser (96) • General Dodonna (20) • Strategic Adviser (4) • Gunnery Team (7) • Engine Techs (8) • Leading Shots (4) • XX-9 Turbolasers (5) • Spinal Armament (9) • Mon Karren (8) = 161 Points CR90 Corvette A (44) • Turbolaser Reroute Circuits (7) = 51 Points CR90 Corvette A (44) • Turbolaser Reroute Circuits (7) = 51 Points GR-75 Medium Transports (18) • Comms Net (2) = 20 Points GR-75 Medium Transports (18) • Toryn Farr (7) = 25 Points Squadrons: • Nym (21) • Dutch Vander (16) • Wedge Antilles (19) • Jan Ors (19) • Gold Squadron (12) = 87 Points Total Points: 395 XX-9s will allow you to pick 2 faceups, and Mon Karren means they'll almost always work. 6 activations is good for fragile ships, and the squads can hold their own. Englishpete 1,379 Posted January 30 Squadrons:• Nym (21)• Dutch Vander (16)• Wedge Antilles (19)• Jan Ors (19)• Gold Squadron (12)= 87 Points I'd drop Nym and get Luke, he'll put crits straight under a ships shields and will pair well with Wedge in protecting Jan. I'd also drop Gold Squadron and get Nora Wexley. That will give you a solid squadron ball that can be deployed vs ships or squads. The rest of the above list is fine, but it will take some finesse to play well. 1 Ramix reacted to this

I like the list so much....thanks...but only a problem with Liberty...I don't own strategic advisor and xx9. Could be a good replacement intel officer and xi7? 41 minutes ago, Englishpete said: Squadrons:• Nym (21)• Dutch Vander (16)• Wedge Antilles (19)• Jan Ors (19)• Gold Squadron (12)= 87 Points I'd drop Nym and get Luke, he'll put crits straight under a ships shields and will pair well with Wedge in protecting Jan. Most lists would drop Mon Karren by this point, but bypassing contains is still nice under Dodonna. Be aware that neither Nym nor Luke can use Norra’s critical effect. They’re all great squads, but I’d include either her or some combination of them, as Norra’s not particularly cost effective with only three squads capable of using her. Herr Style 205 Posted January 30 I’ve considered this as a possible list. You’d need to juggle it about to swap out Strategic Advisor as you don’t own that card:- Commander: General Dodonna Assault: Precision Strike Defense: Fleet Ambush Navigation: Superior Positions MC80 Battle Cruiser (103) • General Dodonna (20) • Strategic Adviser (4) • Gunnery Team (7) • Auxiliary Shields Team (3) • H9 Turbolasers (8) • Spinal Armament (9) • Endeavor (4) = 158 Points Pelta Command Ship (60) • Ray Antilles (7) • All fighters, Follow Me! (5) • Boosted Comms (4) = 76 Points GR-75 Medium Transports (18) • Bomber Command Center (8) • Boosted Comms (4) = 30 Points GR-75 Medium Transports (18) • Boosted Comms (4) = 22 Points Squadrons: • Biggs Darklighter (19) • Jan Ors (19) • 2 x X-wing Squadron (26) • Gold Squadron (12) • Norra Wexley (17) • 2 x Y-wing Squadron (20) = 113 Points Total Points: 399 Drop boosted comms off second GR-75, put in Comms Net. Ditch SA and add in Int O on the Battle Cruiser for 400 points.

It was my first idea for list, Liberty to go first and shut down defense tokens of the enemy and them the squadron finish the job. But It’s true, like @The Jabbawookie said that the list nedd and objetive...go ship vs ship and screen squadron to stop enemy squadron, or full squadron, so the big ships works for them. But I’ll try this list with Pelta with friends before any tournament. thanks
