Building an encounter toolkit

Recommended Posts

Hey Folks. I've already posted this a while back in the Age of Rebellion forum, but I've been working on it since and wanted to boost the signal a little bit so I'm cross-posting here. I'm working a Google Doc with the intent to compile an ongoing compendium of different locations, environmental conditions and generic set pieces. The goal is to codify a bunch of circumstances which can be mixed and matched to build game encounters without having to necessarily build everything from the ground up, as well as to set a kind of objective benchmark for GMs when determining how different dice pools may be constructed for different checks.

I'm still in the initial phases; a lot of material is under construction and it will be a progressive project, but I'm interested in seeing what other folks think of this. I'll probably be jiggering the layout a bit, and I'm open to any suggestions. I'm also interested to see if anybody else has ideas for content that I may be missing. The doc can be found at the following link:

Maybe a couple force nexus locations.

Maybe a hanger deck on a starship/station

Maybe a docking bay like the one in a new hope in Mos Eisley.

Maybe a hanger like on Naboo

Maybe a.landing platform like on Corscant.

Coruscant apartment

Naboo villa

City casino or club
