Aahz 1 189 Posted December 27, 2019 (edited) The game rules describe two sub-areas - The Mandalorian Sector (Area I) and Hutt Space (Area III). It describes these sub-areas as "part of a larger area of the map." Here's my question: are these different "areas" for purposes of fleet condition cards? Or when the rules mention areas, does it refer only to the larger "areas" marked with Roman numerals? I'm assuming the latter, but I'm unclear why these sub-areas exist if they don't mean something. Moreover, the rules state that the border locations (such as Concord Dawn in the Mandalorian Sector and Nar Shaddaa in Hutt Space) are actually treated as being in multiple areas, so referring to the Mandalorian Sector as only Area I seems weird. Anybody have any insight what function these "sub-areas" serve? Thanks! Edited December 27, 2019 by Aahz
Grumbleduke 810 Posted December 28, 2019 The sub-areas are only there to stop you putting a base on Mandalore or Nal Hutta at the start of the game. They don't seem to have any in-game function other than that. 1 1 Aahz 1 and Deeple101 reacted to this
Aahz 1 189 Posted December 31, 2019 Thanks, @Grumbleduke Having read the rules for a third time, I agree that seems like the only point for those sub-areas.
