2 fleet builds with a i88 surprise

So, 1st one uses a Flotilla and mauler and flight coordinator to drop mauler into the other guys squadrons then drop IG-88b to hit everyone in range.  2nd build uses a raider flak and to drop IG-88b and two ties to attack the other squadrons.  It uses the ISD to attack the other guys fleet and the VSD to act as a sniper your thoughts.

I played with a squadron delivery raider before and it's more powerful that someone would think at first. I would use flight commander thought. That will allow you to navigate and squadron (token) to drop whatever squadron you want without a chance to kill the raider BEFORE he does.

I thought about flight controllers but Versio is just so power on a raider.  I did retool it abit.  The idea is to make people want to attack the ISD Kuat while Thrawn sits on the Vic 2 Shooting at mid to long range with Krennic helping on rerolls.  The raider hits the squadrons w ig88b and hopefully Zertik can keep ig88b alive for 2 rounds.

On last Polish Nationals I used Raider I with IG88B:

-  Flechette Torpedoes  ( 3  points)

= 64 total ship cost

together they do marvellous things. I played with 5 Raiders and gozanti.

in both games with squadrons they blocked and/or decimate whole 134 squadron build. Quite marvelous achievement for 85p

I usually flied in squadron swarm on last activation and drop IG88B. At the start of squadron phase I activate his skill.

  That is kinda my goal to stop the squadron heavy list then go on to kill the ships.  Which is why I love Versio as she keeps the raider alive. However, I can’t make rapid launch bay work without flight commander.  I like external racks as you can throw 2 blue and 5 blacks with a thrawn dial at a ship or add some more firepower to one squadron.  But I see Flechette Torpedoes  might be really good in this build.

When I make a list I never do multitask ships. If I need to hit I do hitter. If I need squadron figjter I do squadron fighter. 

Makeing multitask ship is asking for trouble as he will never be good in any part of work. At least he will be moderate.

NarioD, you might be on to something I play tested the build, today and I murdered the a whole mess of squads but the little raider that could was overwhelmed and never got to use external racks.   I think I will go back to  Flechette Torpedoes.  I think the idea of putting Thrawn onto my Vic 2 which stays back gives people a real choice do they want to attack the ISD which is coming with a lot of weapons or do they want to kill Thrawn.  NarioD would you recommend a escort (Zertik Strom TIE Advanced Squadron) to keep IG-88b alive for hopefully another turn or go with 2 ties?

Well to be honest IG88B is my only squadron. Rest of my fleet usually decimate rest of enemy squadrons and/or carrier. 

In my set (developed with tokra help. -thx mate) I use raider whonis able to drop him in place I want and at the moment I want. Wirh speed 4 on raider and range 1 You are able to drop him at a very long distance in proper range. With Instigator enemy is blocked with at least 1 turn if all rolls fail. It mean that rest of my fleet is doing they work on enemy carierrs :)

That is all. I recomend to drop all squadrons or use full loadout. Nothing beetween - this is my aproach ofcourse ;)

Thank you NairoD, if i may ask what is your list as it sounds interesting.  As in my area Squadron builds are very common thus part of my thought process was to find something that could wipe out whole clusters of squads at once.  Thank you!

One game shold end with table for my opponen. I hit him hard but we end on turn 3 :( next turn he will loose his ISD and game will be over. He deploy very long... In one ge dices hated me (3 turn of shooting with screed and OE and give me barely 2-3 hits on blacks ber raider...)
