dysartes 242 Posted November 26, 2019 Saw this news post linked to by Marc Gascoigne on Twitter earlier today - looks like new Arkham Horror novels have been announced for 2020. What's unclear is whether we'll see more promo goodness, especially with them being paperbacks. MAY 2020 Arkham Horror: Wrath of N’Kai – Josh Reynolds There’s an ancient artefact on display in Arkham, and everyone wants to get their hands on it… big mistake. AUGUST 2020 Arkham Horror: The Last Ritual – S A Sidor Infamous European surrealist Juan Hugo Balthazarr is feted by Arkham high society, but his art is darker than anyone can imagine. CSerpent 520 Posted November 26, 2019 (edited) Someone on Reddit added these detailed descriptions of the stories. They appear to involve two brand new investigators -- Countess Alessandra Zorzi, adventurer and thief, and Alden Oakes, a.......painter?? It also puts both at 352 pages...seems unlikely that they're both the same length. Especially since I doubt they're completed this far out. https://www.simonandschuster.com/series/Arkham-Horror Edited November 26, 2019 by CSerpent
Eldan985 360 Posted November 27, 2019 Ah, shame. I liked the short story format with colour pages. They made excellent handouts for roleplaying games. 2 ArkhamChronicle and TwiceBorn reacted to this
Soakman 987 Posted November 27, 2019 (edited) I am assuming these are just AH fiction and not related to the novellas or alternate investigator releases. I would love to be wrong though. It was confirmed that be novellas we’re coming though. No idea when but I’m assuming they would also be via Aconyte. Eldan985 360 Posted November 28, 2019 Someone on Reddit mentioned these are authors who have written for black library previously. Any idea how they are? Do they rise to the level of "enjoyably pulpy"?
