Order of Operations clarification

Recommended Posts

Just want to make sure I have the correct order for my upgrades worked out, and correct damage total:

A VSD-I with Kallus, RS, PDR, DTT, and a concentrate fire dial is attacking Luke Skywalker at close range. Luke is engaged with Bossk.

1) Roll blue die, crit

2) Reroll due to PDR, acc

3) Add a black due to Kallus, hit, total 1 damage

4) Add a black due to CF, hit, total 2 damage

5) Add a red due to DTT, roll double hit, remove blue die, total 4 damage

6) Luke braces down to 2 total damage

7) Use RS to hit Bossk for 1 damage, and hit Luke for 1 damage, total 2+1 damage on Luke.

Edit: Corrected DTT effect.

When you Add, you Roll it into the pool unless told otherwise.

So yes, you should Roll it.

Which is why DTT never makes things worse...  Roll a Blank (or a Crit vs Squadrons) and you just Remove the Die you just added for no change.

Yeah, I corrected that after looking at the card, was trying to do this from memory

But yes, you're otherwise on the market...

"Add", "Change", "Reroll", "Spend" all happen at the same time (unless told otherwise), so you choose the Order in which you resolve each individual effect.

So you could basically do all of your *Add* Effects at once (although the DTT one would get you to remove right away), in order to see what Dice need rerolling.

Once you've resolved all of them is where the enemy gets to use their Defense Tokens.

Then "After attacking" effects, like Ruthless Strategists kick in.
