bwoneill 0 Posted November 17, 2019 This came up at the prime tournament today. My opponent's Biggs (at distance 1-2 of Jan Ors, both with a usable brace token) was on the receiving end of 3 damage from my squadron. My opponent argued that he could use Jan's brace to reduce the damage to 2 and then use Biggs' brace to reduce it to 1. He may have also argued that being able to move the damage with Biggs had some impact on the result, but I can't remember exactly what that was. My understanding is that you can only use one brace per attack and, even if you could, the wording of brace would only apply once. Am I mistaken? Karneck 1,990 Posted November 18, 2019 Only one squadron can brace once. Either Jan or the squadron being attacked. You cannot double brace as the defender.
Lemmiwinks86 934 Posted November 18, 2019 (edited) It cannot double Brace: RRG page 4: "The defender cannot spend more than one defense token of each type per attack." With Jan Ors' effect, Biggs can spend her brace tokens as if they were his own. So for example if both have their 2 braces each, it would count as if Biggs has 4 Brace tokens at that time and he can only spend 1 of them. bwoneill 0 Posted November 18, 2019 Thanks, that what I thought. It probably wouldn't have changed the outcome, at most change a 3-8 to a 4-7.
