Bertie Wooster 1,857 Posted March 24 @GhostofNobodyInParticular As of the beginning of this turn, the Matriarch Talon currently occupies Castor and blockades Pollux. The 23rd Task Force occupies Wisp and blockades Myris Alpha (but will leave both worlds this turn as a result of our agreement). We also occupy Vex, Landis V, Ignus, Xykon. The DPRP seems to be blockading Umber and occupies Golem and Filrea ( @FortyInRed is this correct?) The Matriarch Talon occupies... something like 8 planets? 1 1 The Jabbawookie and GhostofNobodyInParticular reacted to this
FortyInRed 380 Posted March 24 I see, thanks. @The Jabbawookie you're suggesting I join you against two neighboring empires, who could attack me together. I don't see that you could stop that, so it seems that declaring war on them is signing my own death warrant. Similarly, I don't see that I'm in a position to help them, so for this turn (at least) I'll stay neutral. The normal caveats apply that I have issued "shoot on sight" commands to my admirals so while I won't be the aggressor, I will defend myself against foreign incursion. Besides, this let's me focus on my "reeducation" campaign internally.... @GhostofNobodyInParticular @Bertie Wooster 1 Bertie Wooster reacted to this

The Jabbawookie 5,610 Posted March 24 (edited) 4 hours ago, Bertie Wooster said: The Matriarch Talon occupies... something like 8 planets? Approximately correct. Worlds acquired through Wooster's early aggression. Ramifications less than significant given value, high 23rd resource intake and recent swing of Shale. Confrontation with Organism Wooster inevitable. Talon and 23rd spy operations conducted before campaign began. Talon struck sooner than expected, but not ultimately unexpected. GhostofNobodyInParticular 2,493 Posted March 24 @FortyInRed, @Bertie Wooster, @The Jabbawookie Let it be known, that GNIPia has entered into a ceasefire and mutual defensive alliance with the 23rd Task Force, will continue hostilities against the Talon, and will respect the DPRP's neutrality. 2 FortyInRed and Bertie Wooster reacted to this

The Jabbawookie 5,610 Posted March 27 (edited) Battle Serpents shall tear soft durasteel hulls. Sporeships shall rain growth upon cold, mechanical lifestars. Go forth, infested! Shred structures, feast upon forces! GNIPians: not met in combat. Offer still stands. No longer lifestar Castor offered. Alternative: Landis V. Have they invaded, blockaded, bombarded, sabotaged or assassinated your worlds? It sounds to us like you don't want the GNIPians defending what's rightfully theirs, now that they're finally in a strong position to do so.
