A short primer for 5th ed Rokugan?

Recommended Posts

Have a new player in my group that's completely new to  l5r and Rokugan so I'm trying to find a short primer on the setting. Trouble is that it seems that almost everything from wikias to dokuments that I find is for the 4th edition. Which means there is a lot of stuff like the spider clan, mantis great clan etc. that is incorrect to the current timeline. Which makes me reluctant to steer the player towards those sources.

Instead Im wondering if someone knows of a sources that is up-to-date for 5th ed that I can give to the player. It shouldn't be to comprehensive, a half dozen pages at most. Just enough to give him a clue about the difference between the clans, bushido and customs  and such .

The core rulebook should provide you with that. Print the pages you need.

There are some very quick 'intro' descriptions of each clan on FFG's youtube channel. Alternatively, if they're prepared to read a page or so each on their respective clans (and pick up other clan background as they go), you could do worse than hand each player the respective clan intro fiction from the First Scroll.
