Osik! Cade swore as he did his best to check her over.. as limited as his medical knowledge was, he was at least able to determine that she was in some sort of overdose. [Vhal, vod... I think the daughter is overdosing ..] Cade relayed his observations, which Falmok confirmed that was likely the case. Cade searched the two bodies and found a couple of vials and syringes. [Vhal'ika, I think I found what they pumped her full of, we're taking her to a hospital!] Come on Ge', let's get out of this osik hole... Kara, the girl is overdosing, we're taking her to a hospital...

osik... understood. Get down here, I'll take her in.. you can get some answers from this aruetii chakaar..

Cade scooped the girl in his arms and headed to the turbo lift and headed to the Managers office.

As they exit the turbolift into the lobby, Cade and Ge'tal notice that it's been completely cleared out. The concierge and receptionist are both gone, and the few guests who were lounging in the lobby are gone as well. Ge'tal looks out the front and notices that the security guards are no longer at their posts, and that there is a police landspeeder mostly out of sight near the back of the parking lot.

When Ge'tal opens the door to the manager's office for Cade to bring D'avia through, Leilani squinches her eyes shut tightly, as if hoping that being unable to see them will make them go away.

Kara lifted Leilani bodily off the ground and shoved her in front of her terminal, Log in, download everything you can onto a storage device, I want network contacts, Police on the take, employee data, suppliers.. do we understand each other, aruetii??

Yes! Leilani sobbed, rapidly typing to comply with Kara's demands.

D'avia begins to move in Cade's arms, muttering something under her breath. Hang in there ad'ika... Cade whispers

Leilani fails twice to enter the password because of her shaky hands, but she works as quickly as possible. She fumbles with a datastick, plugging it in and downloading the information. "It-it'll take a f-few minutes to finish." she says, her hands still shaking uncontrollably.

"[Copy, we'll be waiting. I'll check with our new Mando friend... Ret'.]"

The large Devaronian shrugs and stands up. "That wa'n't the deal, Mando, but I'm game. Just get my daughter back." He follows Falmok back to the landing bay as Cade and the others head towards Worlport's main spaceport and the hotel.

In Solus, Dar knocks on the door of Maysh'la's quarters, "We've got a new lead... And a... complication of sorts. I'm gonna call our new burc'ya, see if he's ready. Then I'll fill you in on the details."

"Got it." Maya responds, "You going in beskar'gam, or plainclothes?"

"Beskar'gam. Covert is out the window, and all the better to put the fear of haran into whoever we find."

She laughs, "Agreed, though the best I can do is make you look intimidating by contrast."

"You'll be fine. Only thing more intimidating than three big Mandos is the little lady who can boss them around. Mando'ad ori'shya beskar'gam." He walks back to the lounge, pulling up Arno's frequency on his comm. "[Burc'ya, we've got a lead and are planning to head out soon. You got any loose ends that need tying up, or are you gonna be able to join us? What's your timing]"

Mando'ad ori'shya beskar'gam. = A Mandalorian is more than armor. @Barbaross41, Arno is clear to join them, travel shouldn't take more than 15 minutes or so. Gives Vhal time to get back to the ship and for everyone to get their kit together.

"Nope, I'm fine to go now, if you are."

Kurak Rijas is in deceptively good shape, keeping up a good pace as he and Falmok make their way to the landing bay. He doesn't talk much as they walk, clearly still worried about his daughter. The Xexto straddling Mesh'la Solus's starboard engine waves as they enter, "Weel... Kurak, good ter see yew! Told ya dees were nace payple, D'tec'ive!" Kurak waves back, "Need to learn to keep your mouth shut, Cha'ly."

Darien, in full armor, is waiting by the ship's ramp with the hatch open when Falmok and Detective Rijas show up. He sweeps his hand out dramatically, welcoming them on board. "May'ika is waiting in the common room. We're waiting on one more guest. A Mando'ad who's been operating in this area."

Just as Falmok tops the ladder, Darien hears the roar of a jetpack and looks up to see a brightly-colored spot fast approaching. What in haran are you doing? Well if there was anybody who didn't know where we are, they sure know now.

Arno lands just inside the bay and jogs quickly to the ship. Once the five of them are finally gathered in the common room, they start to discuss their course of action.

Darien nodded, Elysar was securing us a sum of credits, in exchange to have himself and his family relocated. That's where we left it and had to take care of a time sensitive matter. When we got back we find out he's dead and the retainer is missing...

"Thought as much. Homicide ain't my circus, but organized crime is, so I scalped what information I could. Guy handling the investigation ain't 'xactly what I'd call a friend, so I can't access it as easily as I'd like to. Most of my information is down the underworld's grapevine. What I know is that Signa was offed by Black Sun. Open-and-shut case, standard mob hit. What's harder is pinning down who did him in. The Elysar murder is more complicated. Looks like an inside job, but the 'new management' ain't all that cooperative with the investigation." He glances down at his chrono as if trying to plot out where the other team is right now. "So we've got no security footage or other evidence. The investigation has pretty much stalled. This makes me think Black Sun may have someone trying to tie up loose ends, and they want to get there first."

Kurak smirks, "I think we might be able to do something. Whoever killed Elysar is the one who took the money. It may be a long shot, but I know a couple oper'tives from Gorka's mob that've dropped righ' off the map since Elysar was offed. Find them, we may find the money. The problem is findin' them. You know a Bothan named Kymber, don't you?"

Kurak snorts, "What security holocams? Only official ones are only at specific locations and any private ones would 'ave to be 'acked individually. No, we'll have to do it the old fashioned way."

Maya screws up her face, thinking, "I might be able to hack into the databases of particular security firms, though... set up an automatic program to trawl for Kymber via facial-recognition. I'll see what I can cook up, but it'll take a couple hours."

Kurak nods, surprised, "Yeah, yeah, that could wo'k. I'll make a list." He reaches into his coat, pulling out his notepad and pencil and starting to scribble down notes.

Cade walks next to Ge'tal, We might not have a couple of minutes... Get ready to get Kara and the girl to that Police speeder outside. We'll use that to get the girl to a hospital.. Cade switches to the private channel. [Kar'ika, theres a police speeder outside, and all the security disappeared. Plan is to get you and the girl to the speeder and to a hospital.]

Kara looked up at him. [Caton, the hutuun was here earlier.. probably setting up and ambush..] Kara nudged the Manager, What's the protocol if something like this happens?

The manager continues to tremble, but stares fixedly at the progress bar, hoping her cooperation will convince the Mandalorians to leave her alone. "We call the police, an-and Caton handles it. How depends on the circumstances. We 'minimize potential hostages' when possible, and sit tight. That's what we're told."

Cade set the girl on a chair and walked over to Kara, [Kar'ika, you and Ge'tal get the girl out of here, I'll stay with the Aruetii.]

Kara sighed and nodded, nodding the manager again, Hurry up. He's not as forgiving as I am... Come on Vod, She said to Ge'tal as she retrieved the girl. Let's get you out of here ad'ika.

Cade watched them walk out the office, then drew his beskad and hammered it on the desk Hurry up aruetii! Your delay tactic won't work with me, it's making me impatient.
