Oh wow, ions got buffed. No more coordinates or fine-tuned. Just in time for some Y-wing fun!

You can still be co-ordinated after your activation and after the ion token has been removed, but yeah shutting off Fine-Tuned feels a little overdue.

Felt a bit bull****y for Jedi to somehow use the Force to make their ship work a bit.

When I saw "ions got buffed", I was briefly excited they'd errata'd it so that the first damage also dealt an ion, but oh well.

So Cova with R4 flying a 1 turn rolls an additional die, gets an action and still has Leia available for other ships? That's pretty big buff.

Wow, that's pretty huge isn't it?

Isn't that pretty much the opposite of how everyone was assuming R4 worked?

Did they define "Revealed Maneuver" then?

In the FAQ section. Page 28.

Q: When an effect checks the difficulty of your revealed
maneuver (such as Cova Nell’s pilot ability), do any effects
that alter the difficulty of your maneuvers (such as R4
Astromech [󲁔] or Leia Organa [Resistance, 󲁒 󲁒] apply?

A: No. The difficulty of a revealed maneuver matches its printed color. The
speed and bearing of a revealed maneuver also match their printed value
and type, respectively.

As a side note this murders Hera/Nien...

I don't know that it's opposite how everyone assumed it worked, but it's certainly opposite of how the wording of the cards suggest they work.

Ok, so "revealed maneuver" equals "printed maneuver".  Though that does raise the question of why they didn't simply use the latter term in the first place.

Does it buff Seasoned Navigator on Hera? Is a dial still “revealed” when adjusted?

Edit: no. It is not.

edit2: Nobody knows if Hera has a second trigger opportunity when a card adjusts a dial. That seems bad.

The hability queue clarification also impacts the chained "Swarm Tactics" some alpha-strike lists were relying on.

I thought they’d explicitly said that worked? I don’t feel like it’s been prevalent enough to need to backtrack on that...

I sure hope so.

Hera is during her activation, so its not keyed to revealed maneuver.

No, you still meet the requirement to add swarm to the queue (friendly ship at r1), it works same as before

• If an ability’s requirements are not met, it cannot be added to the ability
queue

Hahahaha.

Now the ability que, the one for "effects that would resolve", now actually requires that the ability would resolve, who saw that coming?!?!?! /S

It still works though? You still get all your triggers to use swarm tactics, and you decide the order. It mostly kills the nantex chain tractoring from what i've seen, because they didn't have to condition to trigger in the first place, they cannot ''gain'' the trigger they need DURING the queue.

Second word in her ability...

•Hera Syndulla

As FFG defines from the FAQ part I quoted last page: "No. The difficulty of a revealed maneuver matches its printed color."

Wait, so what does this mean for the Activation rules (pg 3) which state, "The ship executes the maneuver selected on the revealed dial"?

I mean, effects like Hera that actually alter the dial are ok, but by the "revealed equals printed" ruling, how can effects that just treat the dial differently function at all?

What was wrong with Cikatro Vizago?

I'm not aware of any broken combos...

Rigged cargo on small ships I think seems to be the focus?

Yeah they did that in 1.04

A ship’s revealed maneuver is the maneuver selected on its dial, which remains faceup next to that ship’s ship card until the next Planning Phase

Can cikatro still double up upgrades (like give a deadmans switch to a k fighter who already has one)?

Had an old build Talonbomb Cobra.  Talonbane starts with cloaking device and deadmans switch.  Turn 1 talon cloaks and cikatro switches the cloak for another ships Deadman switch, leaving talonbane with 2 switches and cloaked.  Later on you decloak plus 3+ speed plus Afterburners into R1 for fun/profit.
