But not for the reason you think I'd say it doesn't work.

When you use Spare Parts Canister to drop debris, you'll break all locks on you.  A friend can lock you after you deploy the debris, but then they won't get a useful action that round.

Also, speaking from experience with large-base ships with Trick Shot and Rigged Cargo Chute, it's not reliable to get obstructed shots this way.

Target locks are res tokens, so every lock Matchstick as, be it friend or foe, give him a reroll

Tried something similar with Wolffe when he came out, but it was a bit too action hungry. However, with his action and Palp on R2 for example, Matchstick can easily have that setup, still not sure if it's worth it.

R2 will be an amazing Palp carrier though, with ion cannon turret pointed behind him and proximity mines it becomes inredibly difficult to flank him and he doesnt even need his actions

Is there something that could be done with Goji/ Seismics w/Fuses or Connor Nets or Prox Mine to provide a nice Buff Zone?   2 Y-Wings dropping and flying around those devices using turrets now have 3 defense die.

Oh god you are right, totally forgot that effect xD. Still, you can do a k-turn, use r4-p17 to drop the debris and be able to reroll one die thanks to stress (a bit crazy due to the few blue moves but still). 

I tried it on wolffe, but the medium base makes obstructed shots difficult, yes. It shouldn't be so hard with small base.

Republic beef? Lots of health and a lot of time on target plus some control with ion turrets.

With that in mind, Y-wings with ion cannon and seventh fleet gunner should be the best at supporting CLT Jedi, as the ion pointed sideways gives you a lot of consistency to trigger the gunner and also if you do ionize someone the CLT Jedi have a much easier task of lining up the bullseye. And if you get it at range 1 with a seventh fleet gunner up, it's a 5 dice shot pretty much.

You can fit Plo and Obi, both with CLT, and 2 such Y-wings, and probably still have space for some bombs, and that sounds insane

7FG and CLT combo really well.

2x Ion Y with 7FG, Plo and Obi with CLT is 193.

The bid will be very influential.

I like it.

Wowza. Thats a lot of shots to have to get through (42) of them. With lots of arc coverage. I may try something like this.

 

also something very trollish. Does this actually work?

4 x Proton Torpedo Red Sq. (R4, Synchronized Console) 200 pts.

1. First ship locks. The 3 others do the focus action

2. Spend lock (trigger Synch. console) pick your next ship. (Repeat)

all but the first ship no matter what gets focus/lock fully modded shots. First ship could also have lock/focus but would do so over two rounds.

Actually, just the last one. Numbers 1-3 are not allowed to spend the lock because they have to pass it over for the next ship to be able shoot the torpedo.
