Character Creation Guide

Recommended Posts

Now, I have found a step-by-step guide for making a "wizard" for Anima.

I was curious if anyone else knows of any "guides" for making some of the other types of characters?

Figuring out rules is one thing, but a class guide for a traditional RPG? I don't mean any offense by this, but why would anyone need a guide for an exercise in creativity and personal expression? It seems to defeat the purpose of this type of game. I totally understand the need for them in MMOs where your basically working a job and there is no true character freedom outside of socializing..

Most RPG's that I have bought usually have a bit of a sample of character creation inside. Unless I am missing something, I dont see this in the RPG book itself.

Sorry for wasting your time.

For a super-basic view of mages, page 281 of the rulebook has some character data for mages at various levels under 'Mystics', so you can see generally where their skills and abilities are by comparison. The GMs Toolkit with the game screen comes with a booklet that has some pre-rolled and fully-fleshed out NPC characters, and there are a number of online forums where people post sample characters, NPCs, and creatures they have created (some even with illustrations). I saw some on the myth-weavers.com forums and elsewhere, but if you google it you will likely find others.

Also, and I should have mentioned this earlier - if you read just the example paragraphs in italics through the begining chapters of the rulebook as they create the character Celia, they show a sample character generation from beginning to end, and it actually occurs throughout each section as it applies to the sample characters they use - Celia, Lemures, etc. But you can see Celia's complete profile on page 25.
