Luzgins 0 Posted August 26, 2019 (edited) Can I use Yaotl's first ability if the top card of my discard has no matching symbols for my skill test? What if it has no symbols at all? The rules say activated abilities cannot be used if there is no potential to change the game state, so not sure about this. For those who are curious, I'm playing with Ashcan Pete. Plan is to use Yaotl's ability (potentially on a card with no skill icons), then use Pete's ability to discard a card, readying Yaotl and causing his previously activated ability to look at the card I just discarded.
