How appropriate does the show seem for a 6 year old and 8 year old?  I am thinking long the lines of gratuitous violence or particularly frightening imagery.  I mean it's star wars so it can't be that bad but I thought I would ask.

No worse than Rogue One I'd say. No swearing, graphic violence or major terror. The violence so far is punching, kicking etc or else implied. No gore. Some talk of bowel movements and mating, but will probably go over their heads.

Finally watched it with my wife on the laptop!  I absolutely loved it!  It was like a blend of Sergio Leone, OT Star Wars, Breaking Bad and Yojimbo.  If I had to describe the tone of the show in a word, I would say "deliberate". The references and easter eggs were tasteful and reasonably subtle.  I can't wait for the next episode!

Just signed up for a 7 day trial. If I like it my Paypal will be charged $70 for the year and my wife can't complain. I'll watch it later today.

Actually if I like it I'll cancel, have my wife sign up for a 7 day trial, and THEN pay for a year using my eBay money.

Okay, It was as good as I had hoped! It has some great world building, and the characters were a bit different than I was expecting. How do You make a spoilers tab so I can really express my thoughts?

The Mandalorian's personal blaster is based on the Bergmann 1896 semi-automatic pistol.

Thanks to u/maven

Also we see a Webly & Scott No.2 Mark 1 flare gun in the show.

I've always wanted to get a Star Warsified but functional version of the firearm it was based on.

After seeing the first episode, please share your thoughts.

Forgettable, would probably best describe my opinion on the movie, as after watching yesterday, today i only remember that i loved IG, didn't like music much and strongly disliked that it seems, mandalorians wear helmets 24/h, which i found idiotic idea.
