Moore1980 233 Posted August 6, 2019 Those Stormtrooper upgrades and models make me think those are the droids I'm looking for! 1 1 Deathseed and wintermoonwolf reacted to this
Jabby 1,042 Posted August 6, 2019 (edited) Look, a rocket launcher without exhaust! soft plastic on the clones but with customisations Edited August 6, 2019 by Jabby
TauntaunScout 4,276 Posted August 6, 2019 I have my cantina mercs. I am quite pleased. The Newtroopers mesh well with a dewback model . I am like 3 SKU’s away from considering Legion to be good enough forever. 8 Tirion, Matt3412, azavander and 5 others reacted to this

buckero0 1,956 Posted August 6, 2019 Looks cool I've already converted all my rebel troopers to be different from each other. I actually may try these because right now i can't stand playing rebels due to the options available. I like their characters better but can't stand most of their troops. 1 JBar reacted to this
thepopemobile100 977 Posted August 6, 2019 Man, those b1s are getting a pretty RAD option. It looks like none of the weapons will be exhaust. Only one we can't see is the radiation gun 1 Jabby reacted to this

Darth 2Face 235 Posted August 6, 2019 This was really unexpected, at least at this point in the game's life, but really exciting. More upgrade options are appreciated, but more variety to the my armies even more so. 4 twincast, ScummyRebel, Tubb and 1 other reacted to this
ScummyRebel 5,346 Posted August 6, 2019 Ok, I said I was content with GCW after I nab my rebel veterans and a landspeeder. Nope. Need 2x of the rebel ones for more heavy weapon variety. And a stormtrooper one for mixing in with my existing units. Probably just one clone until we know more about them. Also — I really like they have a unit card and token for these, so you can rope all your fifth trooper minis into a squad with a new commander mini and have a bonus corps unit. 3 JBar, Tubb and twincast reacted to this
Alpha17 2,853 Posted August 6, 2019 I was a little baffled when I first saw these, but I will admit to liking the idea. Definitely will be picking one up. Possibly more, we'll see. Anyone have any clue what the "specialist" troopers do? I can make out that they gain a *, and as an action can gain ___ or 1 ___. Also curious as to what the officer/captain does, since most things I can think of are already handled by the Officer upgrades for the GCW factions. bwingstrike 132 Posted August 6, 2019 Really loving the aliens in the Rebel box. Especially the one holding the SX-21! 2 1 ScummyRebel, twincast and wintermoonwolf reacted to this
Vector Strike 623 Posted August 6, 2019 When the Security Droid gets exhausted, can it shoot like any other model in the unit? Or he stand by the sidelines for 1 turn?

I believe his ability is what is being exhausted, not the droid himself. Just like on every other exhaustible upgrade mini, he would still have the unit's organic weapons as an alternative. 1 Vector Strike reacted to this

The captains add a training upgrade slot, and seems to do something with suppression as well. 6 minutes ago, Vector Strike said: When the Security Droid gets exhausted, can it shoot like any other model in the unit? Pretty sure this is "gains a (training) icon" and free action to gain a surge token.
JediPartisan 810 Posted August 6, 2019 Eeeeeee!!! CW doesn’t have to wait 5 months for an upgrade!! That’s awesome! The question is, how many do I buy? At first I though these were reprints on spruse, but they’re a lot like the Specialists pack. That is so cool. And the Rebels even get Impact! 4 ScummyRebel, Alpha17, Tubb and 1 other reacted to this
JediPartisan 810 Posted August 6, 2019 Ok, double posting, but hold on a sec, why the heck did FFG not add this to the In-Flight Report? It’s more interesting and ground breaking imho. 6 Tubb, Alpha17, Ghost Dancer and 3 others reacted to this

Draycos 98 Posted August 6, 2019 I'd like to see how these fit into a buyer's guide. I really wish I knew how the clone armies will shake out before I buy more of anything than I really need. All in all though, new/more options are a good thing in my book! 3 JBar, twincast and ScummyRebel reacted to this

I’m thinking just 1/each unless you really want more of the same new heavies out in the field. I’m probably 2 for Rebels so I can get that dlt20 out there. The empire and clones are just 1 for me most likely. Maybe a second clone to jump start my new army. 5 minutes ago, JediPartisan said: Ok, double posting, but hold on a sec, why the heck did FFG not add this to the In-Flight Report? Squark 2,555 Posted August 6, 2019 (edited) The pricing on the Storntrooper heavies is... weird. A DLT offers 1.75 average damage at range 1-4 with a useful keyword for 24 points. The T-21 only adds 1.5 damage at range 1-3, but costs 27 points and has a more situational keyword*. The RT-97 seems more reasonable at 26 points for 2 average damage and no keyword, though. It kind of makes me wonder if the DLT is getting a points adjustment or something. *A unit of 4 Stormtroopers+T-21 has a 34% chance of not getting even one surge, much less two! Even with an aim token, that's still a 23% chance of doing nothing. Factor in critical's limited use in large dice pools vs. Troopers, and you have a rather lackluster gun.
