Add a couple of Lambdas and you'll be able to seriously abuse this guy. Especially now you can reroll dice with imperial Toryn!

And no one said anything about Hondo so far? He is really nice, and a good alternative to the officer. 
Either take out one squadron (easier than with Dutch), or just move this nasty squadron over there right into your pack of squadrons, out of Escort, out of any nasty effect, right into the flak, ….
And you can do this after the movement from Hondo. I really like him already, even when he is a bit expensive for 24 points.

I think overall the imperial squads are a lot stronger. All 4 are pretty amazing and have some great synergies. Rebels less so

The poor thing's gotta take what it can get, especially since you get one in the starter kit that becomes basically garbage when you buy your first ISD. There's zero chance it's getting a gift repaint package like the Chimera did for the ISD, either.

You just need 3 objectives with tokens, and as soon as your opponent has one objective with tokens, he is in trouble.
It is really working. Quasar with Squall, 3x Arquitens with FCT, Moralo and 7 Shuttles. Motti as Admiral. 394 points. Missions? Tokens. It does not matter what mission, as long as there are objective tokens 😁.

If they do a CW Victory they could make some changes or do new versions, and include cardboard for Imperial versions.

It's worth noting that he ignores Escort as it isn't an attack, unlike Dutch...
