It could also (additionally?) require a focus fire order being spent. That even seems likely and to be an alternative to the whole card exhausting thing.

Oooo I like that.

Here’s a random idea for one of the titles. I would’ve researched it more but currently have barely enough internet to post this.

Assumption: The Onager (OSD) must be at speed zero to fire it’s Kyber Cannon of DOOM!

Crazy idea: what if the title ‘ something about a sped zero maneuver’ is a title that lets you fire it after performing other than a speed zero maneuver?

Anyone already mentioned that it has 10 hull and only 1 shield at the rear?!

Therefore pretty strong at the front but quite vulnerable at the sides and stern...

I think that's to prevent people from rushing in and using it like a giant, kilometre long-shotgun.

Isn't going to stop me from trying though...

I would like if it were a timing thing for the cannon.  Something like declare you are firing it at the start of your activation, but then fire it at the end of the ship phase.  This gives it a powering up feel, and gives ships a chance to dodge out of arc.  I doubt it works this way, but it would be cool.

I think that’s where a speed 0 condition comes in, you can’t start at speed 0 (someone double check me on that) so there’s a turn spent slowing down and then you can fire.

Which is quite a point commitment to make that ship work. Also squadrons and corvettes.

This is true. Still has quite the intimidation factor though. That’s a lot of forward dice to face down.

That is correct- you must Depot at a speed on your chart. 0s are not on the chart, so no 0 starting unless forced to by G7 gravity wells, or a Gravity Rift.

Might give you another reason to bring the Interdictior, and use the G7s on yourself to get some shots off early 🤔

The latest episode of All Fighters Follow Me has one of the game designers Brooks Flugaur-Leavitt as a guest and we get two snippets of new information on the Onager.

At around minute 11 Brooks mentions that the Onager needs certain upgrades to allow it to shoot beyond long range, so it does not have that ability build into the ship and at about minute 27 they describe the range of the Onager as 'significantly longer' than the current range ruler, so it probably will not just be able to shoot at long range + range 1 but possibly at even two range rulers lengths.

Or it could be yellow to yellow without crossing that narrow arc or a line on the target. I hope they add some string to the box if they do that.

Question - do we know for sure that it IS a 'large' base, and not 'medium'?  Like - has that been confirmed anywhere?

Define "confirmed"  ?

The Link to the news Article says:

1 August 2019 | Star Wars: Armada

A New Age of Battle

Announcing Two New Large Ship Expansions for Star Wars: Armada

Then, Its shown on a Large base.  You can see it (based on the size of the shield dials, for example) right before you.

This is highly intriguing. I'm already loving the look of the ship, and this definitely makes me want more info.

I guess the dial size on the base wasn't so obvious it was large vs medium - the base size differences aren't especially massive, after all, and perspective can play tricks with that.

The question came more from the surprisingly price difference - the Onager at $60, but the Starhawk is at $80.  If $80 was the new target for a 'large' accounting for the passage of time and trade wars and whatnot, it would make sense for the Onager to be a medium for being so much cheaper.  (Obviously not a particularly strong rule, but a hint at one anyway)

Look at the size of the models. The StarHawk has like three times the size, so that much more plastic. I think that accounts for the prize difference.
