What is the list?

Rock and Roll

(45) Zuckuss [G-1A Starfighter]
(0) Jamming Beam
(2) Electronic Baffle
(10) Advanced Sensors
(4) Trick Shot
(2) Mist Hunter
Points: 63

(68) Fenn Rau [Fang Fighter]
(3) Fearless
Points: 71

(50) Talonbane Cobra [Kihraxz Fighter]
(6) Afterburners
(2) Predator
(3) Contraband Cybernetics
Points: 61

Total points: 195

But I hadn't settled on the ace upgrades at all. Liked the Afterburners/Composure trick on TB. Also like beefing him up with extra HP. But also also, I had a silly version with Cikatro, Cloaking Device and Rigged Cargo shared between Zuck and TB.

I do find both Afterburners and Fearless to be too pricey for their actual impact on a game.... On these 2, anyway.

Honestly don't expect to fly it again though. I much preferred the version with Guri and Old T. Although I may try it again with Kavil for Old T. Still, with the above list, multiple 5 die attacks are quite fun.....

The list title works better with Guri in there too :D

Any one theory crafting with Bomblet Sol Sixxa Havoc now that R2 astro isn't stupidly expensive on him? Other than the increase to trajectory sim back in Jan hurting it, maybe it has some mileage in it.

Sol Sixxa (46)
Expert Handling (4)
Dorsal Turret (3)
Skilled Bombardier (2)
Bomblet Generator (5)
Shield Upgrade (4)
Havoc (4)
Trajectory Simulator (10)
R3 Astromech (3)

I have tried a Sol, but a Proxy/Seismic version.  Tried alongside Emon, both with Skilled Bombardier, for maximum bomb-dropping jank.  It was great fun, but i lost rather badly over the course of something like four or five games.  Perhaps with a good lot of practice?  But bombs feel so anemic right now.  I had a guy fly over three Proxies (from a different list) in one maneuver and take only four damage.  The whole reason I used to take bombs (in 1.0) was that my dice were *so* unreliable, I needed the auto-damage.  That's no longer viable as a winning strategy all on its own.  Bombs are merely an aid, a bonus, rather than a core strategy.  But they feel priced rather high for being just a bonus.  Dunno.

Maybe if you could fit Nym, Sol, and Emon?  Hello Epic Jank.

I feel like the opposite end of that spectrum, neatly fitting into the same points, is a Deadman Switch Bounty Hunter :)

Decided to fly the hounds tooth. Went 4:0, super happy I decided that way since it worked out really well

The Kavilry

(70) Ketsu Onyo [Lancer-class Pursuit Craft]
(3) Shadow Caster
(2) 4-LOM
Points: 75

(64) Bossk [YV-666 Light Freighter]
(1) Greedo
(2) Qi'ra
(2) Zuckuss
Points: 69

(43) Kavil [BTL-A4 Y-wing]
(8) Veteran Turret Gunner
(3) Dorsal Turret
(2) Expert Handling
Points: 56

Total points: 200

Update to my list:

Ketsu draws fire, as she tractors everyone. 4-lom allows her to stop them using a green token to avoid being tractored

Kavil double taps opponents with veteran turret gunner. Wicked cheap.

Bossk is the clean-up crew.

Greedo kicks in bossk captain ability, Zuckuss forces them to reroll a defence dice. Qi'ra helps him to turn around.

Is it just me

But is the lancer pursuit class just ...better than the scum falcon

By leaps and bounds

On the bright side, I was able to pick up a lancer today

Pursuit craft vs freighter.

I'd expect a better dial on the first one.

I think the falcon suffers from its 2 dice primary.

Leaves room to modify Drea as you see fit with a decent bid. I know it’s garbage but what are your thoughts?

I really want to try this - I just fear that I would be rolling unmodded dice too often.

Quick update - had a casual game with this against a "sub-optimal" empire list - Bomber with Plasmas, Rexler, Academy Tie and a ship with Diamond Borons.

Anyhow - it went quite well.

The combo of Sense Asajj and Adsen Vipers worked very well.

Early game I just tried to dance them around and avoid getting shot at whilst getting the odd long shot away with them.

Late game I could get more aggressive as Asajj had started handing out stress and she was usually range 1 of a ship to use sense without having to spend a force token to do so.

I used the seasoned navigator once on Asajj and even then I probably didn't need to - still remains to be seen whether a shield upgrade or contraband cybernetics could be of more use on her.

Icing on the cake near the end of the game I managed to get all 3 of my ships focused and to range 1 of an undamaged Rexler - Asajj shot first giving him a tractor token and minor damage then the vipers unleashed and he was "very" damaged (destroyed) at the end of that turn - game over.

One takeaway was that gas clouds are far too forgiving IMO - on several occasions I just Adsen a focus on the vipers and then drive straight over a cloud for zero consequence - feels dirty to me.

As I said - my opponents list was not top tier but I will try a few more games and see how it goes.

I have been playing this recently with very good results:

(70) Ketsu Onyo [Lancer-class Pursuit Craft]
(3) Shadow Caster
(12) Maul
(3) Fearless
(3) Contraband Cybernetics
Points: 91

(56) Old Teroch [Fang Fighter]
(2) Predator
Points: 58

(40) Serissu [M3-A Interceptor]
(5) Ion Cannon
(3) Elusive
Points: 48

Total points: 197

The offensive capabilities are good enough and Serissu’s rerolls really make these ships deceptively tanky. I just tend to keep them together, occasionally flanking with Teroch. Tractors and ions give you so much control, as well as more offense (less agility) and defense (throwing people on rocks so they can’t shoot). It’s a blast to play!

I also play around with four fangs or guri/fenn if I am playing Hyperspace. Need to get myself a fourth Starviper so I can try our four of those with Crack Shot.

I've only flown it on Fly Casual a couple of times but it's been fun. I may fly it next week at my first 2.0 game

Seems incredibly brave.

I have looked at these 2 together. My own daft idea was to put Squad Leader Seevor in, to float around Ketsu, give her evades and be generally annoying. He fits, with the other 2 slimmer but still acceptably upgraded.

Would not like to guess at its potential.

well I had the option of picking up EITHER a mist hunter or a kamigula bomber
and I went back and forth and ...finally decided.

ultimately after much back and forth the solution was very simple
my LGS had ONE kamigula and 3 mist hunter blisters on his wall

sooo I have added a kamigula to the scum collection

funny tho, how its called the bomber, and has both torpedo and missile slots
but no device slot
weird

How is everyone flying Guri? I see we have 2 new ships, a bomber and a fighter, any interesting good builds with those?

I am really sold on Advanced sensors on her, EPT for me is usually Elusive, because at PS5 she absolutely will get lit up at some point and you can usually get plenty of recharges in. This is my light Guri I'll fly with Fenn and a filler.

I have flown Ketsu + Guri a few times. It can work out great, but for me it was quite hard to pull it off.

Guri wants to dance but still be in range 1, Ketsu wants spread tractor tokens. So much is clear. But keeping them going after the first encounter was hard.

Against newer players this will be an absolute stomp since you will be able to outfly them, but against more experienced players you will have a hard time I think.

Give it a shot, if the style suits you, the list has potential.

Not sure about those protons though... Maybe a hull upgrade and a bid?

I imagine Ketsu can get in Guri's way a bit.

Do you think a 3rd ship can add enough to be worth merit?

Not a lot in the way of options that leaves much for the 2 ladies.

I'd still like to try Ketsu and 2 Outmanoeuvre Vipers, with focus instead of calc and 2 bodies instead of one, I would think it a good compromise. I may have to persuade someone else to try it, I keep finding other things to try too :D

I'm going to try this at a small tourney on Monday:

Torkil Mux (37)

Sabine Wren (62)
Fearless (3)
Maul (12)
Shadow Caster (3)

Serissu (40)
Tractor Beam (2)

Cartel Marauder (38)
Contraband Cybernetics (3)
Total: 200

View in Yet Another Squad Builder 2.0

I tested it on FlyCasual and it seems to be quite good. My only hesitation is with the Cybernetics, could go on Sabine instead of the Marauder.
