Optimized Prototype

Recommended Posts

I am having a hard time wrapping my head around the 2.0 version.  If I put Krennic on a shuttle and put optimized on another ship does that condition grant that ship the ability to take Target Locks?

1: this should go in the rules questions forum.

2: no.  The Krennic upgrade gives the ability to take the target lock action, the condition takes effect if the ship with the condition shoots at someone Krennic’s ship has a lock on.

Example: Krennic is on a TIE Reaper.  TIE Reaper gains the target lock action.  Put the “optimized prototype” condition on a TIE Interceptor.  TIE Reaper target locks Wedge.  TIE Interceptor shoots at Wedge, TIE Interceptor can resolve Optimized Prototype ability.
