I've only really played Dark heresy and Rogue trader before, but when i saw anima, i just thought, wow this looks good. ls it playable by people who haven't been pen and paper rpging for long? I'd say it is playable for people how have not had much experience with paper RPGs. If you take the time to read through the book it really isn't too difficult to grasp. The system is a little similar to Dark Heresy in that you use percentile dice to play, but different in that you need to roll above the check modifier and not under it.
