Spanish FFG site has Sabine, Bossk, Downed AT-ST, and Rebel Veterans marked as June 28th. 

If it is accurate (which I'm a little unsure of this time especially), we might be in for a REALLY big release drop...

My wallet and I really hope not, but are a bit afraid that might be the case. The Shoretroopers, Dewbacks, and Tauntauns still don't have release dates on the Spanish site yet that I can see, I almost wonder if the Veterans were an accident? I do know the Shoretroopers, Veterans, Dewbacks, and Tauntauns were listed as "On the Boat" before Sabine and Bossk, not that the statuses on the US site mean much.

I sure hope we don't get one huge release drop. That would be pretty counter intuitive if they are hoping people will save their cash for some clone wars too. The CW starter wave is going to cost a bit, I doubt they would want to dilute their sales if they didn't have to.

Makes no difference when it comes out to me - I’ll buy what I can afford to as I can afford to. It won’t be a missed sale if they drop all at once - I just won’t be buying it all immediately.

For my wallet, I really don't care when it comes out.  Already have 2 units of shore troopers and 1 AT-ST Down preordered, and that's all I'm interested in with this lot.  I might pick up some Reb. Veterans for loaner use eventually, but that's a long ways of either way.

This is probably the last batch of GCW releases which I buy one of each for modelling purposes, unless FFG pulls out some surprising thing that I don't really remember from the franchise but causes nostalgia. Most of the reason I buy immediately is because my FLGS sometimes has issues with maintaining stock of Legion stuff and a long delay on restocks. I'd rather support them than an online retailer. Still, a huge drop can also be a problematic for smaller brick and mortar stores, since they have to make room in their storerooms and shelves for 6-7 new SKUs instead of the usual 2. If Clone Wars is the next release, that'll be two big releases in a row.

Agreed, although I haven’t done “one of each” yet even. But I am thinking of calling my GCW factions “good” after I catch up on the new heavies, rebel specialists, wookies, Bossk, and then one of each of the new corps units and creature troopers. The rogue one commanders/SF aren’t as exciting to me. 

But whenever ffg gets around to the Ewok sub-faction for the Rebels, I am all in like TauntaunScout is on those tauntauns. My home board is modeled after a certain forest moon, so I’d love to fill it up with the natives.

Yeah. I will be buying them 1 at a time as fast (or slow) as I can paint them, no matter when they're released.

Edit: sort of. I will get 1 each of veterans and tauntauns right away. After that it’s buy 1, paint 1.

Not anymore, looks like the article has been updated. Articles having the wrong date isn't anything new, they did the same thing with the Rebel Trooper article. The articles are more than likely written well in advance of when they are posted and then an automated system releases them to the general public. So the date might have been right a month ago when the article was proofread, but now isn't accurate (obviously). 

I'm not trying to say this is acceptable, just that it isn't anything new or interesting really, and is probably part of the reason FFG predominately sticks to quarters for release announcements, since it gives them a bigger window to work with.

Downed AT-ST is available in the UK (have seen at my local store, but no interest in buying).

Sabine and Boskk probably next week.

Not sure if FFG are holding stock due to customs issues in the US, but the UK doesn't seem to have a problem.

First FFG  said Downed AT-ST was in stores,  then they changed it to "on the boat".  Now they publish an article today saying that the product would be in stores 11 days ago, then they edit that out of the article.  

 

Seems to me like there is some kind communication breakdown someplace.

There absolutely is. Basically, FFG still runs the day to day (shipping, receiving, ordering, etc, etc) and Asmodee runs the Press. They don't even work in the same building and don't communicate often. 

 

My impression is that Asmodee is not concerned with the minutia of a product like we the players, or the designers would be. So they don't notice small hiccups or mistakes in the articles that a person who played the game would.

But small mistakes like these will make people think FFG  doesn't know what they are doing or are flat out lying.  Not good to make your customers upset. I know they are not like that, but I can see where others would see it like that.

I completely agree. I don't understand why the disconnect has to exist, but I've been told about it. And yes, it does make FFG look bad when the articles sound like the author doesn't know much about the game.

How long has Asmodee owned FFG? I think its been over a year.  This is the first time I've seen these type of date announcements messing up with FFG.

Date announcements. Rule annoucements. Release, etc. They've all happened. LOTR lcg looked like it was going to get canceled about a year ago because they just didn't post any preview or release news content for near 4 months. They just......neglected to announce anything. I saw a Legion article several months ago get changed about three times right after posting. Might have been an upload error, but something was going on.
