Briar listening to the noises recognized the coded message within. Opening her comms she says "Sergeant Hale, where are you? Can you look for the Inertial compensator generator panel? There may be friendlies in the forward compartment." Turning to Lieutenant Somar "I don't suppose we could get close enough to look at that panel?"

Hale gets the message and swims over to the hatch. He tries to brute-force it out, but he only manages to loosen it a little bit. He then flicks out his wrist blades and uses them to cut around the panel, further loosening it until it falls down to the crater floor. Flicking his blades back in, he mutters to himself about things he never pictured himself doing, and climbs up into the cramped compartment.

The Inquisitor simply watched as everything went down with the capture of the AT-TE. Watching Hale was interesting to say the least.

I may be of better use on board that AT-TE.” The Inquisitor says and starts to head for a airlock. Before leaving the cockpit he pauses and turns to Somar. “My Pilot, take us in as close as possible.”

Climbing up into the AT-TE again, this time by way of an awkward S-shaped squeeze, Hale finds himself in the forward compartment. Instead of facing down another squad of traitorous troopers, he finds himself joining only two, whose posture gives the impression they are not entirely comfortable in their laminate.

“Oh. Quite so. Sorry...” One of them says, struggling a few moments in a vain attempt to remove his helmet. “Would you mind terribly helping me with.. Oh! There it goes.” The helmet suddenly releases and slips off, revealing a man of middle years with gray hair and moustache. Putting his newfound skill to use, he assists the other unlikely trooper in removing his helmet, exposing another man beyond his years for service in the Stormtrooper Corps. “This charade,”(indicating the stormtrooper ensemble) ”is not of our doing. Fitzsimmons put us in this armor after stunning the troopers who refused to go along with his outlandish scheme.. Some rubbish about joining a band of pirates, straight out of a children’s’ holo I tell you.”

“I am Doctor Ferris, and this is Doctor Skrayer. We are scientists, who have been pressed into service, abducted if you will... These men intend to take us through a subterranean stream passage, despite my staunchly professed opinions- as a professional engineer, mind you- that such an endeavor falls well outside the design parameters for this vehicle.” The man’s indignation, and indeed fear, certainly seem real enough.

As soon as the Submarine was in good position Drogos exited the ship from the air lock. The pressure in the deep water was intense but nothing a skilled inquisitor couldn’t handle. Swimming his way to the AT-TE with aid from the force to match the speed at which it traveled he found the hatch panel access which he could try an enter from catching it mid swim he opened it and pulled himself inside.

Hale scans the compartment and spots a weapons rack. He steps over and picks up a DLT-19, Haven't used one of these in a while. Aww, no power pack. He turns to the engineers, Think one'a you can rig somethin' up for me? "cuz if you can't, we're all fried" At that moment, there is a grunting as Drogos heaves himself up through the hatch. Huh, didn't know those suits could do that. He shrugs, Welcome aboard, boss. I tried to convince 'em to rejoin us, but, uh, didn't go too well. They've got ion disruptors, so be careful. got any spare power packs? He gives a wry grin and points out the empty port on the DLT-19.

He looks around at the situation and then addresses Hale "I saw your struggle to get on board and decided I would join you." Drogos said then looked to the powerless weapons. "I don't posses any, however I come ready to deal with the traitors." he gestures with his lightsaber. "I can provide distraction if there us a way for you all to sneak around them, I am skilled at deflection of blaster fire."

I'm afraid that won't be possible. Ion disruptors are part of the protocol for dealing with Jedi, along with slugthrowers, sonic weapons, and concussion rifles, since they can't be blocked by a lightsaber. You are the higher-ranking, I think, I'm not clear on where you fall within the command structure. Anyway, you're more important. If we get these puppies running, I'll draw their fire and then you can go past me and deal with them.

"Very well, You will be my distraction." Drogos replies then looking to the engineers and addressing the whole group, "I will need enough of them alive, we do not shoot to kill, I need them to find where this Pirate Queen is so I may catch or kill her and her other force sensitives." By the tone in his voice they could tell he was determined to find answers.

“Where this pirate queen is?” Skrayer replies, deadpan, as he uncoils the wiring from the forward cannon console. “Why, downstream, I might imagine... But we don’t have the proper equipment to track these waterways from the surface.” There is little time to process this bold but simple supposition, for while Ferris is busy connecting the power supply to one of the rifles, the forward cabin comms suddenly crackle to life.

”What’s up, Docs? Pilot says forward guns are offline. If you think you’re engineering an escape, I’m afraid we’re going to be disrupting your plans.”

Ferris tries to stall, with some technobabble response about redirecting the power to the cabin air scrubbers, but it sounds like at least some of the traitors are moving forward to investigate.

Above, Lieutenant Patral is hailed by the TIE flight leader. “Just waiting for the all-clear, Lieutenant. Ready to commence tactical air strike, on your command.”

The two traitors are wary, but Hale still gets the drop on them as the door cycles open suddenly. The wounded trooper returns fire, and with a brilliant flash the disruptor punches effortlessly through the SCAR leader’s laminate, engulfing him in searing pain. The second renegade trooper is trying to line up a clean shot at the Inquisitor, despite Hale’s close cover efforts.

“Tolson’s down. Got Hale’n the redblade onboard.” Firing at the Zabrak, the renegade trooper unleashes a devastating volley of superionized plasma, which mostly gets past the Inquisitor’s saber. Pressing forward, he closes with his adversaries.

Hale drops the rifle and flicks out his wrist blades. Each consists of three blades, arcing viciously out towards his hands. He rushes forwards and tries to stab them up under the arms of the traitor and slam him against the wall, but after getting shot by the disruptor, his motions aren't as quick as he was expecting and he comes up a little short, though he still cuts a painful looking gash into the man's shoulder. Sonuva! Get 'em boss. The soldier grabs his shoulder and staggers back, leaving him open to an attack.

Hale glances around, With what? If there're more coming, we'd better get ready. He picks up one of the ion disruptors and trains it on the doorway, There oughta be three more of 'em, so watch yourself. This puppy'll get the job done. He chuckles under his breath, "I oughta know, shouldn't I? Still hurts. A lot."

He moves forward and opens the hatch, revealing two of the troopers. Hale discharges the disruptor, nailing one of them, but part of the blast missed and slammed into the wall, weakening the hull enough that the pressure caused it to rupture, allowing the water to stream in. Kriff it! Watch out boss!

Writhing on the deck, the renegade trooper struggles to raise his own disruptor to bear, when the AT-TE suddenly accelerates and slams into the sub in front of it. The heavy walker seems little worse for the collision, but abruptly reverts to its previous plodding pace; the smaller sub however, is beset with random power fluctuations, keeping its hotshot pilot busy with the unfamiliar vehicle’s systems.

The jolt sends the remaining two traitors in the aft compartment to the deck, and Hale and Drogos find themselves struggling to hold onto their weapons and maintain their footing.

Lieutenant Commander Conn has waited quite long enough for the aloof Lieutenant on the ground to give the all-clear. Sure, it is protocol, courtesy really... But he has rank, and is eager to lead his flight of TIEs in for a piece of the action. “Follow my lead.”

Swooping down for a low flyover, he visually confirms that Patral and her pet walker are clear, along with her small team. “Strafing run only. We don’t want the whole platform crashing down onto the engineering facility beneath.”

With that, the TIEs shriek down in formation and utterly obliterate the already devastated encampment, leaving only smoking ruins in their wake.

In the scrubby boulder fields surrounding the contrasting lushness of the crater’s interior, a number of creatures slink away unseen into the approaching dusk. The massiff dens had harbored tunnels which led to the surface, and the sole survivors of the brutal attack now warily picked their way away from the destruction of their lair and home. Some of the creatures bore small riders. This was not the first time the Tuskens had been slaughtered by a more advanced culture, since the diaspora, nor would it be the last. Their parents had surely perished in the burning encampment they are leaving behind, but the tribe will continue.
