Hello everybody!  I'm Dalos, the fourth-finest information broker in the galaxy.  This thread is where in-character discussion takes place for Conquerors of the Paellos Sector.  Trade, threaten, join forces, grovel... whatever floats your boat, just don't break character.  That's what the other thread is for.

When business is slow, I need to generate something to talk about; it seems like you have the forces to run an errand or two for me, yes?  I'll post these missions here.  Fulfill the requirements, collect your reward at the end of that turn; simple enough.  Should two players both complete the objective, both get the reward.  Rewards are non-essential to victory, so feel no pressure to take a given mission.

Let's start by getting to know each other; please state your faction's name, and whether your tech is Rebel or Imperial.

Simultaneously, all communicators in the Paellos Sector go black. Beings wander around, tapping them, and some jerk asks "have you tried turning it off and on again". 

Just then, the communicators all turn back on, and reveal what appears to be the bridge of an Imperial II-class Start Destroyer. 

A massive black horse calmly walks into view. 

WHINNYYYYYYYYYY - it shrieks.

All across the sector, beings fall over, dazed and confused. How could such a sound have a profound effect across such distances? 

Its as if millions of voices suddenly cried out in terror and were suddenly silenced. 

Something terrible has indeed happened, the Terrible Death Whinny. 

Two human males, with prominent facial hair above their mouths and tan-brown hats appear on stage. They remove their headphones and begin singing.

He flies across the system, the Thoroughbred of Sin
He got the hyper broadcast that you just sent in!
It needs evaluation, so let the game behind.
A fleet battle, a show of force, an Empire would be nice of course!

CP9-J:  Yes, yes, I'm getting to that.  The Kashyyyk University Archaeology Department, or KUAD as Professor Krshardrn insists on calling it, is currently utilizing the planets of Draathrrrr, Drrraaaathmmrrr, and Drrrrhhrrrnnn as our base camp.  We intend to explore the center of this sector, focusing at this time on the systems currently designated Echo, Charlie, and Bravo, and looking for a way to access system Alpha.  Please do not interfere with our work.

A Proprietary Limited force blockades and assaults the Merry Crew world of L1, successfully invading it.  No Proprietary forces lost.

 

A KUAD fleet encounters a Remnant fleet over B1 and attacks.  60 pts vs 78 pts = 10% Remnant advantage, or +1.

An 8 is rolled and modified to a 9.

KUAD (attacker) sustains 40% casualties and is obligated to retreat.  1 Pelta C is scarred.

Remnant (defender) sustains 20% casualties, losing 2 Vulture Droid (TIE Fighter) squadrons.

 

A KUAD fleet encounters a Remnant fleet over B2 and attacks.  44 pts vs 39 pts = no advantage.

A 6 is rolled.

Remnant (defender) sustains 30% casualties and is obligated to retreat.  1 GZC is scarred.

Turn 2 is live.  Be sure to resolve any PM actions before submitting orders.
