Weapons with the SPRAY keyword are going to wreck the droids. AT-RT with 2 blacks per model in LoS ignoring cover. 16 blacks against white defense with no surge.....ouch.

Roger Roger

The at-rt wrecks more or less all large trooper squads

The models look great, especially giving more options. Was there any chat of when the Phase 2 troopers would be out, or if they're going to give Phase 1/2 Options with some kits like Arcs etc. I would be more interested in building phase 2 than 1 myself!

Absolutely agree. Though, technically, I've never seen the prequels for more than trailer snippets and isolated scenes. That was enough for me to decide it wasn't my thing (to put it politely).

Don't get me wrong, it's great that people who want this can now get it, but the drastically reduced release rate of GCW stuff is annoying, especially now things are shifting to sprues.

So you've never seen the prelogy, but "absolutely agrees" with prelogy's haters just by judging it with trailers? Ok.

You are very welcome to do so :)

I'll make sure to keep that **** out of my Star Wars :)

That "****" like you said is the future of SW Legion, too bad for you. No need to be disrespectful towards FFG's work btw. And as other said, clone wars era is way more fitted for Legion than the original trilogy is.

On the 'Hard Pass' comment, obviously. Common sense and context rather implied that.

That still doesn't make sense because you too want to "hard pass" on a thing that you know nothing about but trailers. You don't even know if you would like the prelogy or not because you didn't even give it a try. Still, you want to pass on it.

Just watch it, you may like it and reconsider thoses releases with a fresh eye ;)

Yes, I have no interest in the prequel era. Primarily that's a complete lack of interest in the aesthetic. If I don't like the way something looks, why on earth would I waste my money on an expensive wargame of it?

As for giving the films a try, collectively I've seen maybe 40 mins of footage from them, some of it out of context obviously, but not much that was really. I also saw a few episodes of the cartoon out of idle curiosity. I'll be polite and say I really did not like what I saw. Everything I've heard about it, and everything people I know have told me about it (whose taste often chimes with mine) makes me more certain I'm not interested. Sure, maybe I could watch it and be impressed but there's a lot of stuff I actually want to watch that I barely get time to, so I have no interest in giving the prequels a try.

As I said, I'm glad for those who want it.

That’s the beauty of Legion right now. For those of us who enjoyed the Clone Wars show this is exciting news that gives us two new factions to put on the table. For those who hate Clone Wars, it gives two new factions to crush with glee!

Win, win!!!

Wow. People trigger quite hard hahaha, oh well.  I'm not disrespectful to FFG in anyway, they are very welcome to put out whatever content they want for Legion, but that doesnt' mean i have to like Clone Wars either, even if ya'll like it so much, that's your choice.

Yeah yeah it's harsh thing to say that keepthatshitoutofmySW maybe, sorry peoples. I grew up with OG trilogy and it still stands in my books supreme compared to all other SW movies. I was really dissapointed in the prequel trilogy and then again loved the new movies (including Solo and R1). I don't care about flashy windmill-jump-like-bounceball fighting scenes that someone referred on some threat earlier about "coolest lightsaber fights" etc. EDIT: To note that i do watch all of the movies at least once a year, yes, yes even the prequel trilogy -so don't push me about giving a change to them :)

Another thing of course is that NO ONE should care what I think, that's just a fact. Just stating opinions (even put out bit harsh out).

Loving LEGION this far myself and i just hope they will continue to provide also content that interests me (GCW and after).

Maybe better to stay silent so you can all get into your droidekas and clones. Just give me an AT-AT and 'eff all else, hahaha.

IF they don't make a Jar-Jar Binks operative then this whole idea is worthless!  Please do it, Fantasy Flight!

One more (and a very important one!) reason to stick to droids, I'd say 🤣

I'm thinking the CIS will have two corp to start with. The B1s which are cheap hordes of poor troops and the B2s which are strong small number squads. I'm thinking the B2s will be corp by the way because the Special Forces will be taken up by the Commando Droids, Magna Guard and Mandalorians.

Mandalorians for CIS? That would be the dopest of dopes! Bring forth the Darksaber!

Well, fair enough. If you don't even want to watch it, then no need to argue about it ^^

Lol you were the one who was triggered, that's why you were so agressive when you said that prelogy and/or FFG's work on it was "****".

You have the right to dislike it, I have no problem with that, but you can say it in a different way. I personnaly love both Original trilogy AND Prelogy but I hate everything that Disney did, except maybe Rogue One.

But when episode 7-8-9 era will come out, I will not be mad or something, even I f I don't like that era, i will just be happy to fight against new armies, new opponents, see an evolution in the meta, etc...

I think you're focusing too much on the lore around it, but this is a wargame, so you can't care that much about the lore, or else you will be playing only Endor and Hoth battles like, for ever... Does it bother you when you play Vader and your opponent also plays Vader? If it does, maybe Legion is not a game for you. If it doesn't, you should be happy to see some fresh new armies to fight against, especially if you don't like them, that gives you a good excuse to exterminate your opponent 😛

No it wouldn't bother me at all, it would totally be cool for me to play empire vs empire matches, why not!

As well i'll happily fight either of the new factions army - if any of my friends to gets into one, for sure.

I definitely don't hate new things, will always give 'em a chance, but as the Clone Wars -era in general raises more Sith side of feelings in me than Jedi....

Would love to see Resistance & First Order as new factions one day, even Mercenary / Crime Lords, all kinds of cool stuff could be possible with Legion in the future.

Ok, so I think I misunderstood you when you said you didn't want that era on "your" SW. I thought you meant you didn't even want to play against clone era's armies. My bad.

I would love a mercenary/crime lord faction too :o

Anyway, we almost all don't like a particular era in SW, but I'm happy to see that FFG is trying to cover them all, so that everyone will be satisfied ^^

See, I look at this and wonder “how would the sequels play any different from what we have in the GCW era”.

I mean, I am sure it’s eventually going to happen. There’s just not much in ground battle for them yet.

Now, honestly Clone Wars feels like the era Legion was meant for, just with how there’s so many large battles between similarly sized armies.

This is an exciting time to be interested in legion.

Just got my first demo/starter game in last night, I really enjoyed it.

im really interested in seeing the part frames for the B1’s, and a better resolution one of the Droideka.

They really have have a lot of characters to mine with the clone wars too, so I’m all ready for this!

The only issue I foresee is that it dilutes the release schedule so that for those of us with no interest in the Clone Wars we will get very little new content. And the original items will take longer to re-print so will be out of stock more often. This will mean a few folks just drop out of the game because they have nothing new to look forward to.

Think of it as an opportunity for your wallet to recover after buying tanks and landspeeders. :)

Somehow people still play Armada and that hasn't had a release in almost a year.

Also, this sort of "diluted" release schedule is the normal for every other miniatures game. Having only two factions would be worse for the health of the game than slowing down 2 existing factions to add in two more.

Most companies will reach a "model a week" or every two weeks release at some point. Considering each faction gets (usually) two items every two months, they could still manage this a little more.

I'm actually excited about the down time. I think we will get more interesting GCW units as they won't feel like it's necessary to "fill the gaps" any more as we have options for all slots. I suspect interesting operative and commander variations coming down the pipeline.

After they catch up the new factions, I foresee them releasing each faction every 4-5 months, since they may also do mini campaign boxes like the downed at-st.  That makes me happy, since it was tough to keep up with the every month schedule for new stuff as is.  I am sticking with rebels, but want a horde of battle droids.

It was also strongly hinted that there would be even more factions added in future. No word on what they would be, but this would be another way to fill up the schedule.

Man, I really hope they release a campaign book of some kind! I’m looking forward to the Downed AT-ST one, but I would love something bigger.

Wookies, Mandalorians, Geonosians maybe?

I expect Geonosian units as part of the CIS, they would fit as a "Jump" Corps unit, or possibly Specialists. Mandalorians might only be part of other factions as well, either Rebels or Shadow Collective.
