Miwt 32 Posted March 12, 2019 (edited) I am going to be GMing a 5th Edition game soon, and I wanted to have a bank of advantages and disadvantages which are thematic for each clan that I can draw on quickly to make flavourful NPCs which reinforce the clan roles. I have based some of these on the existing advantages and disadvantages from the core book, and others from advantages and disadvantages from previous editions. Would appreciate any extra ones that come to mind, especially for Phoenix, Imperial and Mantis which I didn’t have many good ideas for. Magnus Grendel 11,673 Posted March 12, 2019 In each case Paragon Of and Disdain For their respective Bushido Tenets* are not a bad one to reach for (you can gain or be forced to gain those traits mid-game by Honour shifts but they are nevertheless valid distinctions or aversities to select at character creation) Ditto for scar disadvantages for a Lion or Crab samurai (who are quite likely to have suffered a battlefield injury) * e.g. Courage and Compassion respectively for a Lion clan.
