roblyon 1 Posted April 25, 2010 I'm just getting going with the game. Picked up all of the cards recently with a deuce of Winter and Summer Packs. Just thought I'd see if I could get a little orientation on how you guys set up decks utilizing the season mecahnics. Thanks, roblyon
schrecklich 0 Posted April 25, 2010 If you look here you can find a bunch of somewhat outdated decklists from last year. There are a bunch of seasons decks though. Look for the ones with "Summer" or "Winter" in the deck names and in parentheses after their deck names. Tzumainn.com has become pretty out of date at this point, but it still has the vast majority of the cards that deal with the seasons in its database so you can get an idea from those decklists about how to build the core season-oriented part of a deck from the lists there. For another old example, here is Dobbler's Greyjoy Winter decklist which won the Gencon World Championship last year. Someone might be able to give you more help if you asked some specific questions (like how to use a particular house or card). In general, seasons decks typically run 2-3 of the appropriate raven attachment plus the A Time for Ravens plot to search for them. Often a seasons deck will also run the Song of Summer/Winds of Winter plot and the appropriate agenda, as well as three Carrion Birds to try to win the seasons battle against a deck running the opposite season. Beyond that, it starts to depend on the specifics of the house/deck/cards in question.
roblyon 1 Posted April 25, 2010 Thanks man, that's about what I was looking for. Quick one: in game play I assume it isn't summer or winter until one or the other is revealed via a card. roblyon
