@Captain Lackwit  I was hoping to cheer you up  😐

I'm not terribly taken with RoS' designs, sadly. It's cool to see my favorite Rebel ship in a new era, yeah, sure! I'm glad it brutally murders the speculation of it just being a rebel era Y-Wing as well (always been the daffiest spec, of course it isn't.) and I'm DOUBLY, no TRIPLY glad that when I fly Resistance again, and I will, I will be able to fly Clone Wars Y-Wings. ****. I might even fly all three interchangably just for the **** of it. I already fly a scum Falcon as my Resistance Falcon, 'cause it's just the one I like.

I just

Wanted a cleaner Y-Wing. SOmething bigger and bolder. You know?

That’s fair and quite understandable point,  and yet I also like there idea that the Rebellion Resistance, on the verge of collapse,  is scraping the literal barrel forcing them to dig up mothballed and decommissioned fighters just to pull a last ditch on the ropes fight.*   If they didn’t have any new designs at all I would still be Ok with that.  (But hey merch/toy sales.)

The very idea of the Original Trilogy was that the scrappy undermanned, outclassed, outgunned underdog wins the day versus the Invincible New Order.

* I’m sure I’ve used up my allotment of colloquialisms for the week in one sentence.

That's precisely what I find so worrisome, though. No new ground is being tread in the overarching themes in terms of conflict. Character, actual story, yes... But...

Dammit I just want a little better dressing for it. More daring, more variance. Ship design wise, more of the kind of stuff ECHenry brings to the table, not ancient concept art from nearly 45 years ago..!

Pablo Hidalgo, who also worked at West End Games (I’m older but have a way higher tequila tolerance) just confirmed what we knew,

His Imperial Majesty Palpatine did not have offspring in Disney Canon

That’s a relief. I was afraid that this would be true since JediPraxis seems to be a legitimate source.
