T.O.!!!! Are 3-D printed bombs legal? Acrylic asteroids?

T.O. !!!!!

Are 3-D printed bombs legal in tournament play?

The bases are exactly correct. The bombs rise up to about a peg in height.

They look so dope. If another ship landed on them, they are removed anyway.

If a ship had the ability to fly on them, the originals could be used for the match.

How about acrylic asteroids/debris that are thr same height and shape as the originals?

No, they are not.

Obstacles fall under "Objects" in the Tournament Regulations, and are considered an "Essential" component. You can only use the original cardboard punch-outs in a tournament situation.

Not true. If they are official FFG ones, they can be used.

If and when we get some, yes. But they are yet to produce obstacles outside of the cardboard ones.

TO here...

Answering your question simply.. no they are not.

To expand a little.... in an official FFG event, only FFG produced items are allowed in that case.

However, if its a local store event, you can check with your TO to see if they would allow them to be used. I would keep the cardboard ones handy to compare sizes though.

How about Star Wars Dice app by FFG? Is it legal at the tournament play? Can someone order you to play with standard dice instead of the app?

Legal, but per the tournament rules document, a) the device must be displayed in full view of both players at all times and b) your opponent may request to use the app as well.

It gets dicey on that (see what I did there?)

If you feel that the player is cheating with the app somehow, you can technically request that both player use tournament provided dice, but you would have to make a strong case for it.

In a casual event, it entirely depends on the TO. Technically they are not allowed, however.

At my events, and most of our local events, acrylic bombs and obstacles are allowed but it's up to the opponent whether or not they are used.
