What is the 3 Upsilon list they are talking about?

Recommended Posts

The list at Phoenix Hyperspace Qualifier was (if it’s the one you’re talking about):

Upsilon-class Shuttle - Starkiller Base Pilot - 68
    Starkiller Base Pilot - (56)
        Advanced Sensors (10)
        Hyperspace Tracking Data (2)

Upsilon-class Shuttle - Starkiller Base Pilot - 68
    Starkiller Base Pilot - (56)
        Advanced Sensors (10)
        Hyperspace Tracking Data (2)

Upsilon-class Shuttle - •Lieutenant Dormitz - 67
    •Lieutenant Dormitz - Hypercomms Specialist (60)
        Hyperspace Tracking Data (2)
        Pattern Analyzer (5)

Total: 203/200

As you can see with the points change for Advanced Sensor this past Monday the list will need to be modified to be legal.

Faced off against a list close to this today with 4 rebels and took it out 200- 72. Get behind it!

More information as to exactly what you faced upgrade wise and what exactly you deployed against it would very much be appreciated. Minus the Dormitz + 3(Hyperspace Tracking Data) combo triple Upsilons is a very different beast to deal with. For reference as to what the abilities are:

If you can get behind them without losing too much in the first turn, you've got a great chance.

The problem with the list is it requires little skill to setup, and the entire game mostly hinges on a first-turn stacked-token alpha.

How did you setup and how did you fare in the first turn?

he chose to set up at I6 so I had to deploy everyone except wedge before him. I set up Dutch and Norra side by side close to the left edge with Sabine about Range 2 from  them with Wedge bringing up the right flank.

He set up to Joust for the token stacked alpha stirke. He decided to focus on Dutch with his two forward ships, (edit: Dormitz was out of range for the first round of combat) Dutch survived with one hit left I think I stripped the shields off one his ships with all four of my ships firing. Sabine and Wedge were out of arc of his ships. I lost Dutch on the next round but he got some hits in first. After that I think my opponent got one or two more shots off at Sabine who survived and then he had no shots for the next 4/5 rounds and I was able to pick away at his ships freely. Wedge and Norra finished the match untouched. Sabine got the final hit point off his last ship with about 10 seconds left on the clock

You're saying you ran two Gray Squadrons, Blue X-wing and Sabine but here it changes to Dutch, Norra, Wedge and Sabine :D I'm guessing the upgrades stay the same?

That upsilon list might actually make Resistance Han’s ability relevant in the meta.

Scavenged YT-1300 Light Freighter - •Han Solo - 112
    •Han Solo - Jaded Smuggler (76)
        Trick Shot (2)
        •Rose Tico (9)
        •C-3PO (6)
        •Rey’s Millennium Falcon (5)
        •Rey (14)

T-70 X-wing - •Poe Dameron - 83
    •Poe Dameron - Trigger-Happy Flyboy (68)
        •Lone Wolf (5)
        R4 Astromech (2)
        •Black One (2)
        Integrated S-foils (Open) (0)
        Ferrosphere Paint (6)

Total: 195/200

Ideally Han deploys last, starting behind the Upsilons already.  There is plenty of bid to work with if necessary.  Poe should be able to Slam and Boost our of most arcs on turn one.  His priority is to survive long enough to get behind them.

The Birmingham Barons just released a video on how to fight the triple shuttle list. Interesting it makes Resistance Han’s ability decent.

(76) Han Solo
(9) Rose Tico
(2) Trick Shot
Points 87

(55) Nien Nunb
(0) Jamming Beam
(0) Integrated S-foils
(1) Heroic
(5) Pattern Analyzer
(2) Black One
Points 63

(38) L'ulo L'ampar
(1) Heroic
(2) Trick Shot
Points 41

Total points: 191

Dont tech againt 1 list, you must be able to beat a wide range of lists.

Agreed. But Han with Heroic/Rose/Finn and Poe with Black One are pretty decent options anyway, just with the ability to avoid the turn 1 ambush by Hyperspace Tracking Data upsilons - by deploying last and deploying outside the standard deployment zone or else SLAM-ing for clear space as needed.

Quoting only to say : Han with heroic doesnt work  with green dice, you need 2 dice at least to work Heroic , i would probably use it on Poe ,would save me an action for defense if it happend before any attack or defense.

And Finn lets you add a blank die to the roll, giving you two blanks, and thus triggering Heroic. It's a surprisingly effective combination.

For that matter, if you roll  blank/focus (range 3 or obstacle cover) and have no tokens, you can spend the focus with Rose, add in a blank with Finn, and still trigger heroic.

I think some may slot Tavson in, so Dormitz, Starkiller, and Tavson.

I haven't tested it, but I suspect 4 ship rebel with Biggs and a Selfless ship could do well vs it. Spread damage to avoid the alpha, and then throw 4, 3 dice shots at one.

Heroic is bad its put on t70 and new awing because cheap. How about lone wolf on han????

It's bad (and hence cheap) because it's hard to trigger on three dice, not easy to trigger on two, and specifically bans you using it on a single-die roll.

With Finn, you can get around the latter restriction and get a reroll on your green dice every time you don't roll paint provided you can keep your nose pointed at the enemy - unlike Lone Wolf which is (a) once-per-turn and (b) limits Poe's ability to support you.

I agree you won't get much offensive use out of it on a falcon but you don't on a T-70 either. But getting a 95% chance of rolling at least one evade or focus in a head-on pass is pretty impressive when you've got the durability of a Falcon.

I recently went up against a list that had 4 T-70s with heroic. Gotta say it went off plenty of times to make it very effective and difficult to fly against both offensively and defensively. Sorry OP for getting off topic :D

Jessika Pava — T-70 X-Wing 52
Integrated S-Foils 0
Ship Total: 52
Half Points: 26 Threshold: 4

Red Squadron Expert — T-70 X-Wing 48
Heroic 1
Integrated S-Foils 0
Ship Total: 49
Half Points: 25 Threshold: 4

Red Squadron Expert — T-70 X-Wing 48
Heroic 1
Integrated S-Foils 0
Ship Total: 49
Half Points: 25 Threshold: 4

Red Squadron Expert — T-70 X-Wing 48
Heroic 1
Integrated S-Foils 0
Ship Total: 49

Half Points: 25 Threshold: 4

Simple and very effective
