《Spoiler alert》 the new ownership of Millennium Falcon

Recommended Posts

In Episode IX at last the most famous ship of the far far away Galaxy would come back in the hand of her first master, Lando Carlissian, one of the few who will come in aid of the Resistance. Now a very rich man he surely will pimp up the Lady. So, FFG should give us a brand new Lando's Resistance Falcon?

there, guys.
sorry, is in Italian, but I believe you could find easily in English

https://cinema.everyeye.it/notizie/star-wars-episodio-ix-svelato-nuovo-proprietario-del-millennium-falcon-362602.html

the site has been almost 100% correct in anticipation until now on Marvel, Star Wars, and Star Trek franchises, debunking a lot of fan theories, and anticipating such thing as the death of Han Solo. So it has a quite strong reputation.

I think you overestimate Lando’s role in episode 9.

I assure you, Disney would never take the Falcon away from Rey. And Lando is almost certainly going to die in episode 9, continuing with the ongoing theme of killing all the original characters to “make room” for the new ones.

One, why is this on the main forum. Two, the only character I see the Falcon belonging to at the end of IX is Chewbacca, if it still isn't in Rey's possession. With that being said I see the Falcon with Rey in the pilot seat, Chewbacca her co-pilot with both Rose/Finn on it; Poe as the escort. I call this 110% conjecture on the website's part, and anyone whom thinks it's true.

@CapitanGuinea why would the make a new model just for Lando? They may rerelease the same model with different cards but remaking the model, no way.

^THIS^

and lets face the facts here, Lando is probably going to die in the next movie. Now I did say the same thing about Leia in the last movie so I could be entirely wrong again.

Shouldn't this be put in the off-topic section?

Sir, we've read the article and think there might be some validity to it. . .

Maybe, maybe not.

But my speculation is based on who past film productions that we have full knowledge of.

I would be happy to be wrong, but i stand by my prediction.

I actually disagree on this point, though not in the direction of Lando getting the Falcon. I bet Lando is going to take on the Admiral role. He’d be in charge of the capital ships like Ackbar in ROJ, with likely Poe heading up the squadrons. Now, he could still die in that role, but we’ll see.

As to the OPs original question, it will depend on how long Lando has had the Falcon back. Has he actually had time to re-customize it and so forth.

i put here for the influence in gameplay this arc will have if and when the ending of the third trilogy will have on the re-issue of Resistance Millennium Falcon packaging. Last time it was comboed with the Black One X-Wing, but now in the last iteration it could have with this narrative arc, things have quite evolved: from a semi-derelicted piece of junk in a messly state of customization, to the hand of one of the two man who love the ship more than they loved their sons. I could not think that Lando will let the Falcon remains in the bad shap as it is now. Dirty, underpowered, with mismatching parts, and undercrewed. I believe sincerely that he and his friend Niev Numb, with Chewie will do a lot of work on the lady. Because tech is improving in all those years and Lando is the kind of man who spend all the money it need to have the best. And he is now VERY rich. I was one of the most rich men of the New Republic (I would remind you the scene in the casino in Ep VIII, with all that weapons magnates showing up). So I think He will be giving us the most powerfull Millennium Falcon ever, and that FFG in the next package should clearly reflect this. You can simply state this comparing the job done on the Scum Falcon.

It will be interesting to see how new pilots out of episode 9 in existing ships will be introduced. Maybe we can hope for a squadron pack like for Republic and Sepertists.

While I see the point of Lando and Chewie wanting to get the old girl back up to speed and spruced up, I think it still comes to how much time there is to do that. Lando may be rich, but those funds might be needed to supply a fleet as well. What with fighting the First Order and still not knowing the time frame, refitting the Falcon might take a back seat.

In return of the Jedi Lando got the Millenium back (kinda) when he flew the Falcon on the important mission to destroy the second death star. There would be no point to return to that.

To quote someone from the new trilogy "Let the past die, kill it if you have to".

Probably Rey will learn how to build a Rebel Death Star in 0,2 seconds (finally!). Do that. Blow **** up. End of story. The Porgs will be dancing and laughing.

Meanwhile Poe gets lectured by a pink haired lady, that he should check his privelege.

Lando is going to die, after doing litereally nothing for the Rebellion. Probably he will be a useless and hateful old man with no perspective whatsoever, living on an island.

You dropped this.

So a lot of you are sincerely forgetting something. Probably because you're still mad about 150min of your life almost a year and a half ago.

Daisey Ridley's done portraying Rey after XI. She's said that a couple of times. So, whatever happens to Rey, there's an out for The Falcon. Star Wars is also fond of bringing things full circle.

The Falcon returning to Lando after all this time is an extremely fitting ending for it. A life where it can probably retire, stop fighting. There'd be no problem with that.

Sure. Chewie gets screwed yet another time.

He was  instrumental in every Rebel victory (after Rogue One) and never got a rank , a medal or even a "thank you". (when big shots like Land and Han become instantly "generals") Frack this ****!

Maybe Chewie has turned it all down because he doesn’t need no stinkin' medal to prove his worth.

Well, there are circles of xwing that refer to the “Chewbacca award,” that is, the player who earned the highest rank that did not get a prize.

The fact that Lando getting the Falcon back is so fitting is PRECISELY why Disney WON’T let it happen. It’s something the fandom would want to have happen; ergo it will not.

It doesn’t matter whether Daisy is coming back or not.

Codename:  "Star Muffin."

"We call it the "Death Story."  There really is no better name, for after we hammed up the sequels to badly no one will ever want to see a Star Wars X."

I'm sorry sir, you've been downgraded to a seat in Economy for this protracted and lame escape run."

His ashes will be scattered into a sun by the heroes of the Resistance.

Technically, Han Solo and Chewbacca shared an agreement working together for Jabba the Hutt: they would spend first for fix and replenish and upgrade the ship, than share 50%/50% the remaining profit. So Chewie has no share on the ownership of the Falcon. Legally, the heir of Han Solo should be his  direct family: Leia, for thei splitted, but non formally divorced. So she is now the one who decide who own the Falcon, and it seems that she give Her to Rey and Chewie, 50%/50% but in the novelization Rey is unhappy, becouse she is very sad for Han Solo death and her attraction to his murderer - she actually love him, and is costantly ashamed by this - and she can't keep the ship which made this alive 24/7. So it is quite plausible she left the ship to Chewie, who will need a second man to pilot the Falcon. Now: this ship is nowaday rare, and severely customized. Not a lot of people could pilot the Falcon on the spot - Han Solo himself was taken back from the scavenging and the customizing done to the ship in the intervening years. He need and old pal to do the job. So there it is why Lando will be necessary, more than only for committing contacts and money. He was a General of the Rebel Alliance, and a **** good starfighter command one for this. He is able to command troops, starfighters, and ships. And he has brain: all things the depleted Resistance needs direly.

I really hope to see all this in gameplay - it would be great to have the Falcon leading the fight as at Endor.
