oldthrashbarg 0 Posted April 19, 2010 I assume I've missed something obvious here. What does 'independent' mean in a character? Is it simply a random subtype or have I missed a rule or something?
Eryx_UK 14 Posted April 19, 2010 It is just a keyword, nothing more. Fluff wise it is a character who is not affiliated to any of the factions.
oldthrashbarg 0 Posted April 20, 2010 Ah, I see. Thanks very much. I don't suppose anyone can remember any effects that target 'Independent' characters, or any other functions it has? I feel like there are a lot of underused subtypes and similar in this game.
Ephraim2 0 Posted April 20, 2010 Theres a few cards who's affect says "name a keyword". I suppose you could name "independent" as the keyword.

I suppose I was really looking for an explanation of the function of the keyword/subtype, and thereby of what it is meant to reflect in the game. I suppose you could view this as 'fluff'. I don't really see that it's to do with factions; First, the factions are pretty arbitrary anyway, as Lovecraft's 'mythology' is so vague. Second, there is always the neutral category for cards that ought to be available to everyone.

PRODIGEE 0 Posted May 17, 2010 Hum, isn't independant a subtype (and not a keyword???) May we'll see in a near future cards that interfers with independant characters ???
